Navarro erupts at Fauci, demands accountability over COVID

Navarro erupts – Peter Navarro launched a blistering Fox Business rant at Dr. Anthony Fauci, accusing him of covering up COVID-19’s origins, allegedly funding work tied to a Wuhan lab, and—most aggressively—of “killing people.” The remarks followed the release of documents by

For a former senior adviser to President Donald Trump, the outrage came fast and personal.

On Fox Business Thursday, Peter Navarro exploded during an appearance on “Mornings With Maria,” targeting Dr. Anthony Fauci and accusing him of creating a virus that killed millions. Navarro said Fauci should be held accountable over pandemic policies after the release of documents from former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard alleging Fauci covered up the origins of COVID-19 and spread misinformation.

Navarro didn’t just make the case—he demanded action. “You idiot!. You need to come clean, Fauci … Quit hiding behind your money and your laurels and your PBS documentaries,” he said. Then he escalated the charge to a human level. describing the lockdown isolation as if it were still happening in real time. “Come clean!. Because you killed people. All the kids that had to sit in their homes. My mom, I couldn’t see my mom where she was. She was holed up in her apartment getting food under the door. I mean, it’s like a prison.”.

He said he was “surprised people aren’t suing Fauci civilly for all of the damages they did to their families and killing people and things like that,” and added that Fauci “needs to be held accountable.”

Navarro’s central accusation was not framed as a policy disagreement. but as a chain of events he believes Fauci set in motion. “The guy’s sitting in a mansion with millions of dollars and a lot of people in the country think this guy’s a hero. ” Navarro said. “He created — he was the Dr. Frankenstein of the modern era.”.

In the same stretch, he alleged, “He basically gave money to the Wuhan lab for the express purpose of using gain-of-function research to create a deadly virus for the purpose of then creating vaccines to kill the virus,” then pressed Fauci with a rhetorical jab: “How’d that go, Anthony?”

Navarro also claimed Fauci responded after any alleged leak with what he called a misinformation campaign. “And then when that thing leaked from the lab. he conducted a misinformation campaign. using some of the most prestigious academics in the world. to insist that it wasn’t from the lab. it was the zoonotic theory — from nature — and the biggest lie of omission was the fact that he funded the virus to begin with. ” he said.

There is no evidence that the virus was created in a lab, and Navarro’s claims that the virus is manmade were debunked by Factcheck.org.

The controversy over COVID-19 origins is now bound up with a new burst of document-driven dispute. Navarro’s most recent remarks about Fauci came after he publicly demanded that Congress subpoena Fauci.

Fauci has denied the allegations that he covered up the origins of COVID-19. He has also denied suppressing the theory that the virus originated in a lab leak in China.

Navarro’s comments were made after Tulsi Gabbard released internal documents. Those documents alleged Fauci covered up the origins of COVID-19 and spread misinformation. CNN reported on Tuesday that Gabbard’s released internal documents do not corroborate her claims about Fauci. The outlet pointed to an analysis mentioned in the files that it said doesn’t prove the pandemic was caused by a lab leak. among other inconsistencies.

Navarro doubled down anyway, calling Fauci the “true villain” and saying Fauci has “the blood of millions of people on his hands.”

He also argued that the public should stop treating Fauci as a hero. “American people need to decanonize ‘Saint Fauci,’” Navarro said, adding that Fauci “played God.”

As he attacked the medical establishment, Navarro turned on the political narrative around blame. He said the media is “canonizing Fauci” while having an “agenda” to blame President Donald Trump for the virus in an effort to “change the political landscape.”

The interview ended with Navarro’s insistence that the debate isn’t just academic. He framed it as a matter of responsibility—pointing to documents, accusing Fauci of concealment, and describing the pandemic’s costs in intimate, family-specific terms.

  1. I mean Navarro yelling isn’t proof of anything though. Like if he has docs, cool, but “you killed people” just sounds like politics to me.

  2. Wait, so Tulsi Gabbard is the one who released the documents? I saw something like this on TikTok and they said Fauci paid off the lab? Not sure how true but it’s pretty crazy if it’s all connected to Wuhan. Also the lockdown part—my cousin said his job was messed up the same way.

  3. Honestly I don’t care if Navarro is yelling, the outcome was bad for families. The kids stuck at home thing, yeah that was real. But then again they’re still fighting about where it started like it’ll change anything now. Fauci got blamed for everything and then suddenly everyone’s like “no” to the same accusations? Idk it’s all a mess, but if Fauci covered it up then there should be accountability, like suing and stuff.
