MMA veteran Nate Diaz has finally responded to Jake Paul’s fighting challenges.
After teasing a jump to MMA for several months now, Jake Paul has officially revealed his MMA future. Just hours after the PFL-MVP merger announcement, Paul appeared for an interview with TMZ’s Michael Babcock.
In the TMZ Sports interview, Paul details his duties following the MVP-PFL merger. Apart from running the new combat sports company, Paul is also interested in fighting. Discussing potential opponents, “The Problem Child” shared his expectations of facing Mike Perry and Nate Diaz.
“Yeah, Nate Diaz. Mike Perry would be great,” Paul said. “We love Mike Perry. The Nate conversation has been ongoing. It just never made complete sense. I think up until this moment, things just got a lot more serious with this announcement. So, I want the Nate Diaz MMA fight very, very bad.”
The two men clashed against each other and went to battle in a boxing match in 2023. While Paul won by unanimous decision, Diaz has disputed the result since then. In a recent social media post, Diaz made it clear that he’s willing to fight Paul again.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), Diaz reposted a video of Paul asking for a rematch, stating, “I’m going to get into the cage. Nate Diaz, stop ducking, we need to make this happen. To change the world, to change the history, and the landscape of combat sports.” As a response, Diaz wrote, “Pull the f**k up [Jake Paul].”
Paul is currently sidelined and out of action after undergoing serious surgery-requiring jaw injury. With no confirmed updates on his return, Paul is currently in conversations with a UFC Hall of Famer regarding his MMA training.
