Nara Smith Says Whimsy Lou Diagnosed With Cancer

Nara Smith shared on Instagram that her two-year-old daughter, Whimsy Lou, was diagnosed with cancer last year, and immediately began chemotherapy, while she’s been posting less as she focuses on her family’s care.
Nara Smith didn’t ease into it. In her Instagram Stories and in a video shared to her social pages on Wednesday, July 1, the 24-year-old influencer went straight to the moment her life changed.
“There’s no easy way to say this or to talk about any of this,” she began, before telling fans that late last year her two-year-old daughter, Whimsy Lou, was diagnosed with cancer.
Smith says the first signs showed up during a routine pediatric visit. When she saw something suspicious on Whimsy. she and her husband. 28-year-old Lucky Blue Smith. took their daughter to the ER. She recalled that they “didn’t quite know what to make of it,” and then brought Whimsy to their pediatrician. In that waiting moment, Smith said her pediatrician went “really quiet and calm,” and she felt her “heart drop.”.
“I don’t know whether it was my gut telling me something or just a mom’s intuition, but the first thing that I felt was she has cancer,” Smith said.
After that diagnosis, Whimsy Lou began chemotherapy treatments right away, Smith added. The influencer also explained that the reality of caring for her family—and the time and attention needed for Whimsy—has been part of why she’s been posting less on social media.
She did not say where Whimsy stands health-wise today, leaving her current status unclear.
The video quickly drew an outpouring of support in the comments from fans who shared prayers, heartbreak, and hope for Whimsy’s recovery. One user, @dejaa___, wrote, “So Many children getting cancer , it’s so unfortunate 🥹 prayers to her family & any other family experience this.”
Another commenter, @terrionesimpson, said, “God PLEASSSSEEE wrap your arms around her baby. Im praying for covering and for her to hear CANCER FREE!!! In Jesus NAME‼️‼️‼️”
@gemini_1824 added, “2yrs old and cancer shouldn’t be in the same sentence. 🙏🏾.”
@therealjaneta responded with a harder truth, writing, “This just shows that now matter how healthy you are cancer can get anyone. It’s very sad and I wouldn’t wish it on my worse enemy. Praying her daughter gets into remission and eventually is cured ❤️🔥.”
And @sariyahluvsart said, “Damn that’s crazy and they whole family eats organic too.”
Smith. who became widely known through her TikTok cooking videos where she cooks meals from scratch. and Lucky Blue Smith are parents of four children together: daughters Whimsy Lou. five-year-old Rumble Honey. and infant Fawnie Golden. as well as a 4-year-old son Slim Easy. Lucky Smith also shares a daughter, Gravity, with ex-Stormi Bree.
As fans continue to show up for Whimsy and her family, one thing stands out from Smith’s update: she’s asking for support in the middle of an ongoing fight—starting with a diagnosis she described as arriving late last year, and a chemotherapy start that followed immediately.

That’s heartbreaking. Can’t imagine.
I hate reading stuff like this, like why do kids get cancer so young. Also she said it started at a routine visit—does that mean they saw it early or was it just a random surprise? Either way prayers.
Chemotherapy right away sounds insane but also like the “mom intuition” thing… idk how you’re supposed to know. My cousin said pediatricians “act quiet” when it’s bad, so maybe that’s what happened. Still, I don’t know why she’s not saying where the kid is at now.
Wait so she’s been posting less because of the cancer treatments?? I saw this on TikTok earlier and thought it was like a scare or something, not actual cancer. I’m really confused on the timeline because the article says last year but she’s saying it changed her life right away. Hope little Whimsy is okay, even if they don’t share the update.
