Nancy Mace Shows Off Her New Permanent Accessories
Lame-duck Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) has been getting lots of ink ― but not for any political success.
The congresswoman is now showing off her heavily tattooed arms in the introduction of her new podcast “Get Maced.” To a heavy guitar riff, Mace is seen with her arms tatted up while wearing tank tops and a bikini.
Mace received her first nine tattoos in 2023 and 2024, around the time of a breakup with her fiancé and the removal of a benign tumor from her uterus. She told Politico the tattoos were for “the pain that I need to feel” and to “reclaim” her body.
A few of the tats appear to be a religious figure, an eagle, and the word “Justice.” According to Politico, one tattoo reportedly reads, “Mrs. Dalloway said she would buy the flowers herself” ― an opening line from a Virginia Woolf novel.
News outlets weighed in on her body art. “MAGA exile Nancy Mace is embracing her right to bare arms,” the Daily Beast quipped.
“Mace’s arms are covered, giving the buttoned-up politician a look few voters probably had on their bingo cards,” TMZ wrote.
Mace’s political prospects don’t appear to be quite as permanent as her tats. She finished far behind in South Carolina’s Republican primary for governor and was heavily criticized after teasing a bid to replace the late Lindsey Graham in the Senate by posting a clip from “The Godfather: Part III.”
Mace fell out of President Donald Trump’s favor when she continued to push for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
