Authorities are investigating a mass shooting at a Caswell County home on Wednesday.
The Caswell County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting occurred before 8 a.m. on Brooks Road in the Prospect Hill area.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation said there were “multiple fatalities.” One person was taken to Duke University Hospital with a gunshot wound.
Investigators with the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina State Highway Patrol and State Bureau of Investigation were seen gathered in front of the home.
Authorities have not released information about a possible suspect. The names of those involved have not been released.
There is no threat to the public.
