MSI’s OLED monitor can jump resolutions at extreme refresh

MPG OLED – MSI is showing off a new 31.5-inch OLED gaming monitor at Computex 2026 that can switch across three resolution and refresh-rate modes—4K/360Hz, 2K/520Hz, and FHD/680Hz—while adding features aimed at reducing color fringing, improving text clarity, and boostin

He’s trying to squeeze every last frame out of a match when the world is moving too fast to notice. Then the menu pops up: resolution, refresh rate—tradeoffs that usually come with compromise.

At Computex 2026, MSI is betting those tradeoffs don’t have to be permanent. The company says it has built a 31.5-inch OLED gaming monitor that can shift across three modes, hopping between what it frames as best-in-class image clarity for demanding games and maximum speed for competitive play.

MSI’s upcoming display, officially named the MPG OLED 322URDX36, is described as a “world’s first” triple-switch monitor. The three modes are claimed to be 4K at 360Hz, 2K at 520Hz, and FHD at 680Hz. MSI’s point is straightforward: move to maximum resolution for graphically demanding titles like Crimson Desert. then slide to a higher refresh rate—aimed at tighter timing—for games such as Counter-Strike 2.

MSI is packaging the functionality under its Triple Mode feature. Alongside that. it’s also touting Penta Tandem technology. described as a five-layer stack of panels designed to reduce color fringing and make text more legible. The company pairs that approach with what it calls a DarkArmor Film. intended to boost black levels by 40 percent and increase scratch resistance.

Under the hood, the monitor is also claimed to reach a peak brightness of 1,500 nits. Connectivity includes a DisplayPort 2.1a and a USB-C port.

What’s missing—for now—is the part gamers usually ask for first. MSI hasn’t shared pricing or release details. The company did say the MPG OLED 322URDX36 will be on display at its booth at Computex 2026, which starts on June 2.

  1. “World’s first triple-switch” ok sure. I’m still waiting for something that doesn’t burn in after like a year lol. 680Hz sounds fake.

  2. Wait reply_to 1… if it’s 4K/360 then 2K/520 then FHD/680, doesn’t that mean it’s not really 680? Like it’s only 680 sometimes? Also OLED + 1500 nits?? my tv already can’t.

  3. The color fringing/text clarity stuff sounds nice but I don’t care if I’m getting motion sickness either way. DarkArmor Film?? is that just a marketing way of saying it won’t get scratched because people touch screens. Pricing better be like $400 or I’m out.
