MSG Workers Kept Blind as Tayvis Wedding Looms

Even Madison Square Garden employees seem to be working in the dark.
Event production staff at the arena told TMZ on Tuesday that workers prepping MSG for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s rumored wedding have been cut off from the outside world while they work. The change is immediate and very specific: employees are not allowed to have their phones while on the job. apparently to prevent photos of the setup. They haven’t been told an exact reason.
The secrecy doesn’t stop there. Staffers say they’ve been required to wear wristbands, something they say they never have to do, and they’ve also been asked to undergo added security measures when they arrive to work.
Several employees described the experience as “working blind,” saying they have no clue who is behind the big event. One person even shared they thought it might be a graduation, pointing to the number of curtains inside.
Scheduling is part of the tension. Event staff are expected to be in the building early on Friday morning—July 3—when the rumored wedding (or wedding party) is said to be taking place.
While crews working on setup may not know what they’re building. the venue is still tightening access beyond the production floor. Page Six sources say corporate employees have been banned from the arena until July 5. with one source saying: “MSG is off limits to all corporate employees this week.” The source added that they “were not given a reason why it’s a no-go zone. ” and framed it as a practical move to reduce snooping and limit the risk of details leaking.
Whether it ends up being Tayvis’ wedding or something else entirely, the message from MSG this week is clear: whatever is happening at the iconic building, it’s big enough to keep even employees on a need-to-know schedule—and off their phones.

So they’re basically locked in like it’s Area 51. I mean… Taylor money, right.
If they don’t even know who it is, how is this not just chaos? Wristbands and no phones sounds like school field trip security lol.
I saw somewhere it’s NOT a wedding and it’s some kind of PR thing? But anyway, banning corporate employees until July 5 makes it sound like they’re hiding something illegal or whatever. Curtains = graduation? That part is funny.
Working blind?? I mean, MSG always acts like it’s top secret with concerts but this is next level. Cutting off phones to prevent pics makes sense but also like… why would a staffer need a wristband for a wedding? Feels like they’re punishing people for being curious. Also July 3 vs July 5 is weird—so when does everyone actually get to know?
