A major police response unfolded in south-west Sydney after officers received an emergency call from inside a home on Raymond Avenue, Campbelltown.
Police were dispatched to the residence on Monday night after the call was made from a phone within the house. Shortly before 8pm, officers stormed the property and discovered three bodies inside.
The three people were believed to be a mother and two children living at the address, with police sources confirming the deaths as detectives began working at the scene.
A father of the children, 47, has been taken into custody. He was arrested and brought to Campbelltown Police Station while detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
The street has been cordoned off and a large crime scene established. Officers have put in place a perimeter covering much of the road as they examine the scene and respond to the fatal incident.
NSW Police will address media from Campbelltown later this evening.
