Monday’s TV Sports Schedule Hits Baseball, Tennis, Soccer

Sports on – From college baseball and the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City to MLB matchups in the evening and Roland Garros tennis early in the day, here’s what’s on the sports TV schedule for Monday, June 1 (all times Eastern).

Monday starts early for sports fans tuning in across the dial, with tennis from Roland Garros leading off before the day shifts into college baseball, college softball, and a full slate of soccer, culminating with pro and league action late in the evening.

At the top of the schedule. the Tennis Channel carries Roland Garros coverage starting at 5 a.m. with Men’s & Women’s Round of 16. Doubles 3rd Round. Mixed Doubles Quarterfinals. and Boys’ & Girls’ 1st and 2nd Round and Doubles 1st Round. The same Roland Garros block returns at 6 a.m. again listing Men’s & Women’s Round of 16. Doubles 3rd Round. Mixed Doubles Quarterfinals. and Boys’ & Girls’ 1st and 2nd Round and Doubles 1st Round.

Later in the morning and afternoon. French Open tennis continues with TNT and TruTV airing the ATP/WTA French Open Fourth Round from 2 p.m. on TNT and TruTV. The next early jump comes at 5 a.m. (Tuesday). when the Tennis Channel moves into Roland Garros — Live for Men’s. Women’s & Mixed Doubles Quarterfinals. along with Boys’ & Girls’ 2nd Round and Doubles 1st and 2nd Round. At 6 a.m. (Tuesday). Tennis Channel again lists Roland Garros — Live for Men’s. Women’s & Mixed Doubles Quarterfinals. with Boys’ & Girls’ 2nd Round and Doubles 1st and 2nd Round. TNT also turns to the ATP/WTA French Open Quarterfinals at 5 a.m. (Tuesday) and again at 6 a.m. (Tuesday), while TruTV shows Doubles Coverage from 5 a.m. (Tuesday).

College sports take over the afternoon. Noon brings college baseball on ESPNU for the NCAA Tournament: TBD, Regional (if necessary). It continues at 3 p.m. on ESPNU again for NCAA Tournament: TBD, Regional (if necessary), then moves to 6 p.m. on ESPN2 for NCAA Tournament: TBD, Regional (if necessary). Late in the evening, ESPNU and ESPN2 both pick up additional NCAA Tournament coverage: ESPNU at 9 p.m. and ESPN2 at 9 p.m. for NCAA Tournament: TBD, Regional (if necessary), followed by more scheduling on ESPNU at 9 p.m. for NCAA Tournament: TBD, Regional (if necessary). (The schedule also notes that blackouts and schedule changes are possible.).

Softball fans get a parallel track of Women’s College World Series games in Oklahoma City. ESPN airs the Women’s College World Series — Double Elimination Round at noon (Game 11) from Oklahoma City, Okla. At 2:30 p.m., ESPN runs the Women’s College World Series — Elimination Game (Game 12) from Oklahoma City, Okla. At 7 p.m., ESPN returns with the Women’s College World Series — Double Elimination Round (Game 13) from Oklahoma City, Okla. Then at 9:30 p.m., ESPN broadcasts the Women’s College World Series — Elimination Game (Game 14) from Oklahoma City, Okla. (if necessary).

Baseball and soccer bring evening momentum. MLB Baseball at 7:30 p.m. on FS1 matches San Francisco at Milwaukee, with the game time listed as 7:40 p.m. Soccer follows with NBCSN’s The Soccer Tournament in Cary. N.C. airing at 6 p.m. 7:20 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. each marked as The Soccer Tournament: TBD. Cary. N.C.

International friendly soccer is slotted earlier in the day as well. FS2 has International Friendly: Norway vs. Sweden from Oslo, Norway at 12:50 p.m., followed by FS2 at 9 p.m. for International Friendly: Canada vs. Uzbekistan from Edmonton, Alberta.

Rounding out the night, WNBA basketball appears with Seattle at Dallas at 8 p.m. on USA. At 10 p.m., Minnesota at Phoenix airs on NBCSN and also on Peacock, with both listings tied to Minnesota at Phoenix.

  1. I don’t even know what Roland Garros is but tennis at 5 a.m.?? That’s criminal lol. Also they said Monday but half of it says Tuesday??

  2. Wait it says Tennis Channel at 5 a.m. twice? Like same rounds both times? Maybe they’re just repeating the same match highlights and calling it “Round of 16” again.

  3. This article lost me when it started talking about soccer “culminating late in the evening.” Culminating means ending, right? So like… does MLB happen before or after the French Open? My TV guide always lies anyway.
