Chatham residents return to a model search

Norris-Bere advises those planning to attend to arrive looking natural. “What we’re looking for is that raw talent – no makeup, clean face, hair down, hair natural; if it’s curly keep it curly, and no false eyelashes,” she said. Norris-Bere said females should wear something that shows their body shape and can also wear heels if they want. She added males can even wear jeans and a t-shirt. Norris-Bere will be there with a photographer and said if the right person is found that photo

taken in Chatham could help land them work. If someone wants to be successful in modelling, she said it takes a commitment similar to being in an athlete. “You have to stay fit, you have to stay the same size, you can’t fluctuate, you have to live a healthy lifestyle,” Norris-Bere added. Having a great personality also goes a long way, she said, because modelling involves long hours and the client wants to work with somebody who is fun to be around.

  1. Wait is this like a scam? “Arrive looking natural” sounds like they’re gonna judge your face and then say you weren’t “raw talent.” Also heels for females?? lol.

  2. They should’ve said where it is instead of all the body shape stuff. “Can’t fluctuate” like what, weight? That’s already stressful. I get the healthy lifestyle part but the personality bit feels like PR talk.

  3. I’m confused because it says girls can wear something that shows body shape but then no makeup and no false eyelashes… like how is that not still beauty standards? And “photo taken in Chatham could help land work” for real? Sounds like they’re just getting free pics of people.
