Mike Love lists Lake Tahoe mansion for $43 million

Beach Boys co-founder Mike Love is selling a nearly 19,000-square-foot Lake Tahoe estate in Incline Village, Nevada, for $43 million—an all-in property filled with a theater, wine tasting room, ice-skating rink, and sauna.
On a wide stretch of Lake Tahoe shoreline in Incline Village, Nevada, Mike Love’s home has been holding steady for more than four decades—almost like a private venue for reinvention.
Now it’s headed for the market.
The Beach Boys co-founder has listed his Lake Tahoe estate for $43 million, according to the online listing. The property—nearly 19. 000 square feet—packs in amenities that go far beyond a typical residence. with 10 bedrooms. 12 full baths. and panoramic views of the lake’s north shore and the Sierra Nevada. It’s surrounded by a six-acre preservation area lined with towering conifers.
The interior reflects that long run of building, changing, and living in a place designed for more than just downtime. The estate includes a theater, a wine tasting room, a recording studio, and an ice-skating rink. An older recording studio remains on the property with a grand piano still in place. but it’s been repurposed as a lounging space—where instruments have been replaced with couches and the control room is now a walk-in closet.
The home’s “great room” functions as its centerpiece, built around a two-story fireplace with a glowing water feature that mimics rainfall above it. In the kitchen, retractable patio doors open to a dual-barbecue outdoor cooking space—an arrangement clearly meant for entertaining year-round.
Outside, the resort feel continues: residents and guests can use a 10-person hot tub, a pool, a custom skating rink with complementary ice skates, and a trampoline. There’s also a guesthouse for the caretaker.
The decision to sell has come with a new chapter in Love’s personal life. His children are now grown, and Love and his wife decided to put the home on the market, the real estate agency says.

Love, 85, co-founded the Beach Boys in 1961 alongside cousins Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson, and friend Al Jardine. Over the years, the band played thousands of shows and sold more than 100 million records. Love is now a member of both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
While Brian Wilson was widely regarded as the musical savant and the group’s innovator, Love received co-writing credit on classics including “California Girls” and “Good Vibrations.” All three Wilson brothers have died.
Even as his home moves toward a new owner, Love’s performing life remains active. He is still playing with longtime touring band members, including at the Hollywood Bowl on July 2, 3 and 4.
Last year, shortly before departing his Lake Tahoe home for a string of shows, Love told The Times, “I think we’ve got a good several years to go.”

43 million?? I can’t even picture that like… does it come with ice skates included or what.
Incline Village has to be getting priced out by celebrities again. They always sell these huge places like it’s a normal thing. Also isn’t Lake Tahoe like super protected? preservation area lined with conifers… sounds nice until the taxes.
Wait so he’s selling because his kids are grown? That seems like a weird reason lol. I thought Mike Love got kicked out of the Beach Boys or something? The article says co-founder but then the writing credits… idk I’m confused.
19,000 square feet with a wine tasting room, recording studio, and an ice-skating rink… that’s not a house that’s like a mini resort. I’m sure the “caretaker guesthouse” is just for more guests too. $43 million feels low though, considering he also had a rain water fireplace thing? Like who’s even gonna maintain all that ice rink stuff year-round, sounds like a nightmare.
