Michael Wright Cause of Death Revealed (Report)

More details are coming out following the death of Michael Wright.

On Friday (August 21), the actor’s wife Susan Wright announced that the Sugar Hill and The Five Heartbeats star had died at the age of 70.

“It is with profound sadness and an unimaginable heaviness in my heart that I share the passing of my beloved husband, Michael Wright,” she wrote in an Instagram tribute. “Michael was a husband, a father (Manon Wright, Byron Barr, Brittney Briggs, Brianna Barr, Sir Barr, a grandfather (Yoko), loved one, a friend, and an extraordinary artist whose work touched generations.”

Michael Wright dies at 70

TMZ then reported on Saturday (August 22) that Michael died after suffering heart failure and complications from the rare degenerative neurological condition Marchiafava-Bignami disease. The condition is a rare disorder defined by necrosis of brain tissue, according to the National Institute of Health.

Michael is also known for his roles in movies including Money Talks, Point Blank, and The Interpreter. Over on TV, he appeared on Oz and V: The Series.
