Mexico Fans Fireworks Outside England Hotel Overnight Before Match

With Sunday’s FIFA World Cup 2026 showdown approaching, social media videos show large groups of Mexico fans outside the England team hotel overnight—fireworks, loud music, chanting, and drums—raising concerns it was meant to disrupt the squad’s sleep.

Sunday’s FIFA World Cup 2026 clash was supposed to start with training, routines, and rest—but overnight outside the England team hotel, it sounded like something else entirely.

Videos circulating on social media show large groups of Mexico fans gathering outside the hotel overnight. blasting loud music. chanting. and waving flags as fireworks lit up the night sky near the hotel perimeter. Other clips capture booming speakers playing at high volume and fans playing drums. with the noise carrying through surrounding streets well into the early hours.

One post shared a view of the Mexican supporters outside the England hotel at 2am. alongside a photo caption reading “Another view of the Mexican supporters outside the England hotel at 2am!. 💥.” Another clip described the scene as “Mexican fans trying to disrupt the England team during the night ahead of tonight’s big game… 😭🫣.”.

It isn’t clear from the footage whether any players were directly affected. Still, the timing of the late-night celebration has the feel of something planned—an attempt to throw England’s preparation off schedule before Sunday’s match.

Security and local police were present around the hotel entrance during the disturbance. Even so, there have been no confirmed reports of arrests or confrontations between fans and authorities. Neither England nor Mexico has commented publicly on what happened.

For England, the question now sits uncomfortably between fandom and sabotage: was it simply loud, passionate support—or an early psychological shot fired before kickoff?

  1. I don’t get why they wouldn’t just celebrate at a bar. Like what are they even trying to do, scare the players? If England can’t sleep then they should’ve brought earplugs or something lol.

  2. So wait, they’re saying Mexico fans did fireworks to sabotage England? But in the video are those even Mexico fans or is it just random people? Also if police were there, wouldn’t they’ve stopped it immediately? Sounds like another one of those “it might’ve been planned” stories.

  3. England hotel security standing there like nothing happened is crazy. I swear this kind of stuff always gets blamed on the visiting fans even though it’s probably social media hype. Next thing you know FIFA will say it was “cultural celebration” and move on. Hope they didn’t get any players rattled tho, because you know the mind games start before kickoff.
