Kelly had some harsh words for Hickerson while discussing his relationship with Panettiere, calling him “an absolute f****** d********” and an “absolutely terrible person.”
She also referred to him as a loser during the episode.
Kelly questioned if Hickerson could have been involved in Panettiere’s death, but pointed out that there were no signs of physical trauma. “There are no signs of trauma. It doesn’t look like he beat her.”
Panettiere’s history with Hickerson
However, Kelly wondered if Hickerson might have influenced Panettiere’s substance use. She also questioned where he was when the actress died and what he knew about the time leading up to her death.
“As far as I can tell, he spent the last five years beating the s*** out of this woman,” the political commentator claimed. “Absolutely no care whatsoever for her well-being. So what role, if any, did he play?”
Kelly then brought up a domestic violence incident involving Panettiere and Hickerson in February 2020. The Bring It On star later detailed what happened in her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning.
Kelly noted that Panettiere was granted a five-year restraining order against Hickerson afterward.
‘Absolute fool’
Kelly went after Hickerson over the way he treated Panettiere before her death.
“You are an idiot. It’s obvious what a dolt you are,” she said. She later called him an “absolute fool” and used a derogatory slur to insult him.
Kelly continued, “It’s egregious how dumb this man sounds. That she was spending any portion of her life with him because she was smart.”
