Meghan Markle didn’t just post a greeting to mark the season—she opened the front door.
On Tuesday, June 9, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, took to Instagram to share a carousel of candid photos shot around her and Prince Harry’s home in Montecito, California. In the caption, she wrote, “Springing into summer 🌼.”
The set began with a black-and-white image of Markle lying on the grass. a straw hat covering her face as she sprawled beside fresh-cut blooms. In another shot, Harry, 41, kicked a super-sized soccer ball across the lawn while Archie, 7, joined the game. A later photo turned domestic and adorable: their daughter, Lilibet, 5, wore a white T-shirt featuring a cartoon-style illustration of Beyoncé. “B if for Beyoncé” appeared as text above the drawing. which also included large hoop earrings reading “Queen Bey” from left to right.
More glimpses followed. Markle and Harry posed in another black-and-white image from behind, seated on a bench as if they’d paused mid-workout, with Markle—sneakers on—resting her feet while she cuddled Harry. He wore a backwards cap.

Markle marked Lilibet’s 5th birthday with a smaller Instagram carousel showing the youngster exploring a lush green garden. alongside a photo of her being doted on by her beaming parents. Markle’s caption read, “Our dream girl,” followed by, “Happy 5th birthday, Lili.”.
Long before the latest carousel, the family’s Montecito chapter was set in motion. In August 2020, it was reported that Markle and Harry had purchased a $14.65 million home in the California community. They added that their daughter’s first name was chosen to honor her late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who died at the age of 96 in September 2022. The couple noted that the queen had held the family nickname, Lilibet, herself.
Markle and Harry tied the knot on May 19, 2018, at Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel in England. They later celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary the same month that they welcomed Archie. In the following year. the pair announced their decision to step back as senior members of the royal family before relocating to the U.S. permanently.
