“Meghan accepts that they need to stay in the royals’ good graces, especially when it comes to his father, and that it means a lot to Harry for her to be a part of this relationship rebuild,” a source told Closer.

“But she’s worried that they’re degrading themselves by caving into all of this censorship, which means they’re essentially muzzled or backed into a corner where they have no voice or right to express themselves in their own way,” the insider claimed.

Meghan wanted to ‘post’ about their time with the royals

Although Meghan shared a slew of pictures on Instagram of her summer travels with her husband and their two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, snaps from their time with the royals reportedly weren’t allowed to be shared.

“Not being allowed to take photos or post anything about the visit was especially insulting,” the source alleged.

“It still really stings,” they emphasized about the conditions.

Meghan thinks she and Harry were ‘treated like a pair of outsiders’

While there’s been tension between the pair and their British relatives after they left England in 2020, Meghan was reportedly stunned by how they were received.

“She’s relieved to have the trip behind her and is in no mood to keep groveling when she feels she was treated so badly,” the insider noted.

“Meghan now just wants to focus on everything she’s got going on with her brand. Harry can’t see how they’ll move things forward if she stays this sour about the whole experience, but Meghan’s finding that very hard to do after they were treated like a pair of outsiders and completely micromanaged,” the source added.

Harry wants to ‘rebuild trust’ with his family

Although the Suits star has reservations, Harry reportedly wants to continue to move forward with his family.

“Harry really wants them to keep the momentum going. It’s true the trip was disappointing on a lot of levels, and he completely understands Meghan’s frustrations, but he still feels the best course of action is to put it behind them and focus on the positives,” the insider claimed.

“Harry’s saying this is the time they should be making a real effort because that’s the only way they’re going to rebuild trust,” they said.
