NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WJAR) — Thousands of people hit the beach in Narragansett for a free Maroon 5 concert outside the beachfront home of a local hedge fund manager.
Parking lots were packed, space in the sand filled up quickly, and some people arrived as early as 8 am to get their spot. This isn’t the first time a suprise free concert has happened outside this home, but it was likely the largest.

Maroon 5’s performance marked the third free concert that hedge fund manager Joseph Healey has thrown here, this time the occasion is his sixtieth birthday.
While he gathered quite a crowd in 2006 and 2016 for his 40th and 50th, word really spread this time around.
There was plenty of security around the beach, and although other amenities you might expect to see at a massive concert like this weren’t quite there, it was hard for anyone to complain – it’s not every day you see a band of Maroon 5’s fame for free.
And people were already getting excited for the next chance they might have to catch a big show here.
In the words of one attendee, “Can’t wait for Joe’s 70th!”
