A Saturday afternoon under-17s soccer match at Amour Park in Revesby turned violent fast—so fast that police say spectators ended up on the field.
Emergency services were called to the fight at Amour Park on Iluka Street at about 3.30pm on Saturday, where the clash involved up to 40 people. Officers were told that spectators entered the field of play after players began fighting.
Paramedics treated an 18-year-old man at the scene for a bite wound to his back before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital for further treatment for that injury and other injuries.
By Sunday, police had moved to hold someone accountable. A 47-year-old man from Greenacre, in Sydney’s south-west, was arrested and charged with affray and assault occasioning bodily harm.
He is due to appear in Bankstown Local Court on June 25. Police say he was granted conditional bail.

Wait so this was a U-17 soccer thing and a 47-year-old got charged?? I mean I’m not saying adults can’t be there, but why is the older guy even involved. And “bite wound to his back” sounds like it was personal or animals or something, idk.
This is why I don’t trust “brawl” headlines. Like was it actually chaos with 40 people or did someone exaggerate the number. Liverpool Hospital is pretty far right? If it was at 3:30pm, how is it already “brawl turned violent fast” like nobody saw it coming. Anyway, if they gave conditional bail already, then the court date is just gonna drag and nothing changes.
