Magalluf braces for “best year” after major revamp

Gabriel Escarrer, chairman Palma-based hotel giant Meliá Hotels International, has predicted that Magalluf will have “the best year in its history” in 2026 and highlighted the area’s transformation. “I can assure you, with great caution (. ) that everything seems to indicate we will have a great tourist season and Magalluf is going to have the best year in history,” he said this evening at the opening ceremony for the second phase of the Gabriel Escarrer Julià promenade. The Meliá boss highlighted the public-private partnership
that has enabled the destination’s transformation, noting that Magaluf “is no longer making headlines in a negative light.” “Now people talk about Magaluf as a major turnaround,” he stated.
