Madison Beer and Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert are engaged. The couple shared the happy news on Instagram on July 28, posting a series of photos that captured sweet, romantic moments from the day Herbert asked the singer to marry him.
One of the images in the carousel showed Herbert popping the question, kneeling with a ring box as Beer crouched in front of him, smiling with excitement. In another photo, Herbert carried Beer on his shoulder as she looked at the camera, with her left hand resting against her face to flaunt her engagement ring.
The joint post also included a black-and-white close-up of the pair embracing, with Beer cradling Herbert’s face and her sparkling ring prominently on display. Other photos showed the couple kissing after Beer said, “Yes.” Keeping the announcement simple, Beer captioned the post, “Meet my fiancé.”
Briefly after the announcement arrived, the Chargers celebrated the milestone on social media, resharing two photos from the couple’s Instagram post, writing, “JH+MB 4EV congrats, justin and madison.”
NFL also congratulated the couple on its official X account, saying, “Congrats to Justin Herbert and Madison Beer on their engagement.”
The engagement follows months of speculation, as the couple has kept their relationship mostly private. Reports of their relationship began in August 2025 after Herbert visited the set of one of Beer’s music videos in Los Angeles.
Herbert and Beer later appeared to confirm the romance when they were seen sharing a kiss on the sidelines during the Chargers’ October 5 game against the Washington Commanders. Earlier this year, Herbert appeared alongside Beer in her “lovergirl” music video, which featured them sharing affectionate moments and offered fans a glimpse into their romance.
In December 2025, Beer discussed her relationship on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, stating that Herbert makes her feel “supported.” She added, “I feel taken care of in a way that I can break down and like I have someone to lean on… And I think it’s important” (per E! News).
