Emergency services are at the scene of two motorway crashes this evening (Monday, May 18). Traffic has been brought to a temporarily standstill due to an accident on the M57 northbound between J2 A57 Liverpool Road (Prescot) and J4 A580 Moorgate Road (Knowsley). Traffic is also slow on the M56 eastbound between J10 A49 Tarporley Road (Stretton) and J9 M6 J20 (Lymm Interchange) following an earlier crash. Every time I hear M57 I think Knowsley is gonna be a nightmare again. How is it still standstill??
So M56 eastbound between Stretton and Lymm is slow too right? Kinda sounds like they should’ve just closed the whole thing instead of one lane. Also IRNIX?? is that like an emergency app or what lol
I’m confused because it says M57 northbound between J2 and J4, but then traffic is slow on M56 eastbound earlier crash… so like are they related? Also Monday May 18 doesn’t feel right, I thought Mondays were usually worse traffic because of school stuff. Hope everyone’s okay though.
