Love Island USA removes Alannah Keyser after slur

“Love Island USA” has removed Alannah Keyser after racist comments resurfaced from earlier online activity, cutting short her Casa Amor arrival as questions grow around how the show vets cast members.
On Sunday, Alannah Keyser walked into Casa Amor on “Love Island USA.” By Thursday, Peacock confirmed she was gone.
Keyser’s time on the Peacock dating show began with the Casa Amor twist, but she was removed from the villa after a video and social media posts resurfaced showing her using a racial slur. Peacock has confirmed Keyser will no longer appear after Thursday’s episode.
The material that led to her exit wasn’t made public in time for the show’s vetting process, according to an individual with knowledge. The person said the video and posts were shared publicly only after Keyser had already appeared on the show and were not accessible during vetting.
The resurfaced clip shows Keyser singing along to a song that included the slur. In the posts, she used a variation of the slur.
Viewers later connected that online activity to her conduct during the introductory heart rate challenge that kicked off Casa Amor. In that moment, Keyser limited her physical interactions with the Black men in the cast.
Questions have followed “Love Island USA” through its latest rollout, especially after repeated racist remarks surfaced during seasons and shaped how quickly cast members were removed. Keyser is not the first person taken out of the villa for similar reasons.
Yulissa Escobar was removed after appearing in just the Season 7 premiere. Cierra Ortega left the villa well into the season after racist posts resurfaced.
This season, the pattern repeated again. After the Season 8 cast was revealed and videos surfaced of Vasana Montgomery using a racial slur, she was removed prior to premiere. Montgomery also shared a public apology.
For Keyser, the Casa Amor placement was clear: she had been paired up with Zach Georgiou. But Georgiou had been building a relationship with cast member Kayda Bosse prior to this week’s Casa twist.
“Love Island USA” airs every weeknight but Wednesdays on Peacock.
Whether Peacock’s process can catch what later resurfaces may now be the question viewers can’t unsee—because Keyser’s case turned on timing: comments that existed online, resurfaced publicly only after she was already on the show.

So they let her on first then boom? Kinda wild. Hope they refund everyone’s patience.
I saw a clip somewhere and I’m like… why is it always the Casa Amor people. Also the vetting excuse makes me think they didn’t really check, just fast tracked her.
Wait she got removed after that song part? I mean I hate slurs obviously but I feel like these shows always act surprised when old posts show up. Also the heart rate challenge thing—so she was weird with the Black guys?? That’s what everyone’s saying.
Timing is everything I guess… but also Peacock shoulda known already if it’s “publicly” out there. Meanwhile they keep saying they can’t access it during vetting like it magically appears Thursday. Love Island always has a pattern and they still act shocked every season. Not to mention Casa Amor is already messy, now it’s racist messy.
