Casa Amor has only just started heating up, but Alannah Keyser’s Love Island USA run has been pulled into a different kind of spotlight.

As Alannah. 21. settled into Casa Amor and began building a connection with Zach Georgiou. an old video resurfaced online. sparking accusations that she used the N-word while lip-syncing to a song. It’s not been verified whether Alannah is the person shown in the clip. Additional screenshots also circulated, including one that allegedly shows her using a racial slur in an Instagram comment.

Her father, Stephane Keyser, moved quickly to respond. In an interview with TMZ published on Monday, June 22, he rushed to his daughter’s defense as the controversy intensified. He described Alannah as an “educated sweetheart” and said their family has always had friends from different backgrounds. To him, the hate coming her way is “ridiculous.”.

While the racism claims dominate the conversation, Love Island viewers have also been debating her connections inside the villa. Some commenters pointed to perceived distance between Alannah and KC Chandler. Corbin Mims. and Sincere Rhea while she reportedly leaned into PDA with other contestants. One social media user wrote that “She was making out with Caleb. Bryce. and Zach. but KC. Corbin. and Sincere only get a twerk from a distance?. and then she got mad when KC touched her.”.

Amid the backlash, Alannah’s friend Nick Rogers also stepped in. Speaking via TikTok on Monday, June 22, Nick said he had no reason to believe she’d be racist at all. “She is very caring and the nicest person ever. She has never exhibited any racist traits around me at all,” he said, addressing the accusations. He added, “I have never once considered the fact that Alannah would be someone who’d be racist.”.

Nick also pushed back on the screenshots that have been circulating. calling them “fake.” He argued that the scenarios could be easier to manipulate with AI. “I just can’t imagine, me knowing Alannah, her posting that on social media. And we all know with this AI and everything like that. it could be very easy for these types of scenarios to be manipulated.”.

Still, Nick said he couldn’t definitively confirm what was being said in the video. “I looked at the video myself, and I cannot tell whether she is saying the N-word or not,” he explained. He acknowledged how serious the issue is. adding. “That is a very touchy subject that I know … has been a big conversation over the years and obviously I do agree that it is very inappropriate for someone who is not a person of color or Black to use that word.”.

Peacock has not yet responded to the controversy, with Us Weekly reaching out for comment.

As Alannah’s Casa Amor chapter continues, the central question remains the same: whether the person in the resurfaced video and screenshots is truly her. For now, her father and friend are both insisting the accusations don’t match who they know.
