Logitech’s Mobi Fold fits in your pocket, costs $80

Logitech Mobi – Logitech’s Mobi Fold aims at travelers who want a real mouse without the bulk. It folds in half to become a tiny, Bluetooth-ready tracker with up to 30 days of battery life and fast charging, but its $80 price and limited comfort make it a niche pick—especiall

Logitech’s Mobi Fold doesn’t look like the kind of mouse you throw into a bag and forget about—until you unfold it and realize it practically didn’t take up any space at all.

When closed. the Mobi Fold bends in half to become a small 2.2 x 2.5 inch rectangle. less than an inch thick and weighing barely more than two ounces. It’s compact enough to feel like it disappears in a bag. and it can even slide into a pocket. including very small pockets like the ones that show up on women’s pants.

Unfold it on a table and the everyday work starts immediately. The Mobi Fold includes physical left and right mouse buttons—dampened so clicks don’t feel like they’ll rattle the person sitting next to you. In the center sits a touchpad that doubles as a mousewheel for scrolling through long documents and websites. and you can press down on that touchpad to perform a middle mouse click (or a scroll wheel click. depending on how you describe it). If you want to change what buttons do, Logitech points you to its free Options+ companion app.

On the bottom, there’s a Bluetooth pairing button that lets the Mobi Fold connect to up to three different devices at the same time, with indicator lights to show which device is currently selected. There’s also a cutout for the mouse’s sensor and a USB-C port for charging.

Using it is designed to be almost frictionless. Once it’s paired with a laptop. opening and closing the mouse automatically turns it on and off. so you don’t have to worry about accidental clicks while it’s traveling. In day-to-day use, the Mobi Fold behaves like what you’d expect from a mouse rather than a gimmick.

The trade-off comes from the geometry. The mouse’s geometric shape isn’t the most comfortable option if you’re used to traditional designs with more space for your thumb and fingers. Because there’s a big gap in the middle. there isn’t really anywhere to rest your thumb or ring/pinky fingers. Still, the tent-shaped design makes it ambidextrous, which is a plus for left-handed users.

Even when everything works as intended, small compromises show up. The touchpad can be adjusted for sensitivity, but scrolling just isn’t as smooth as with a physical wheel. Logitech is clearly betting that people who want this level of portability will accept that.

Battery life is the part that feels built for the road. Logitech says the Mobi Fold delivers up to 30 days of battery life on a single charge. After two and a half weeks of intermittent use, the reviewer’s unit still had over 70 percent battery remaining. If the battery runs low, Logitech says a quick plug-in for one minute adds 22 hours of additional runtime.

When tested, the Mobi Fold went from 70 percent battery to 80 percent in just sixty seconds. Charging is intentionally phone-and-laptop friendly—though you’ll need to borrow a cable and a power adapter from those devices because none come in the box.

The conclusion is straightforward: the Mobi Fold is aimed at a specific kind of traveler—someone who isn’t satisfied with a laptop touchpad and wants a dedicated mouse that won’t weigh them down. If you grew up preferring physical control and you want to stay fast on the move. the Mobi Fold makes a strong case.

But it’s not a perfect fit for everyone. The main downsides are its price—$80—and its ergonomics, since the design prioritizes portability over comfort. There’s also a cost bump if you want the convenience of using a dedicated wireless dongle instead of relying only on Bluetooth: the business model costs an extra $10.

And there’s one bigger reality sitting in the background: the MX Anywhere 3S still exists. It costs $90 instead of $80. but it has longer battery life. three extra buttons. a physical scroll wheel using Logitech’s Magspeed tech. and it’s reportedly more comfortable to use. It’s also not much larger. If you’re willing to trade a little portability for comfort and a more traditional mouse experience. that option may be harder to ignore.

Still, if you place a premium on maximum portability, Logitech’s Mobi Fold looks like an ultra-compact travel companion built for people who want their work—and their mouse—small enough to travel anywhere.

  1. It says it “disappears” in a bag and can even fit tiny pockets but then it says limited comfort?? So which one is it. I feel like my thumb would still be cramped.

  2. Wait so it’s basically a tracker too? Like a Tile thing. Bluetooth-ready tracker sounds like you can lose your keys and still find your mouse?? I’m confused. Also 30 days battery life isn’t great if it’s always folding and unfolding.

  3. Honestly I like the idea because my laptop bag is always stuffed. But the touchpad doing the scroll wheel + middle click?? That seems like one of those “almost frictionless” things that ends up being annoying. And $80 is steep when it’s not even supposed to be comfy. I’d buy a cheaper one and just deal with it taking up more space.
