Lisa Rinna Won’t Back Spencer Pratt for Los Angeles Mayor

Lisa Rinna says she has nothing against Spencer Pratt, but she doesn’t want him—or any reality star—for a mayoral run in Los Angeles, arguing the role should go to someone qualified to lead the nation’s second most populous city.
Lisa Rinna was in full AMAs mode when the question landed—what she thinks of Spencer Pratt.
Asked while walking the carpet for Monday night’s American Music Awards, the “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star didn’t slam him, but she didn’t soften her stance either. She said she’s “gonna be real” about it: she doesn’t want Spencer Pratt as the next mayor of Los Angeles.
Rinna framed it as a mismatch between her own world and public office. “I’m a reality person. You wouldn’t want me as mayor!” she said. adding that she doesn’t want to see a reality star in a top government position. In her remarks, she alluded to Trump and the issues and blowback he’s faced across his two terms.
Her position isn’t built on dislike. Rinna also suggested she actually likes Spencer Pratt—she just wants someone in office who’s qualified to run Los Angeles, the second most populous city in the U.S.
With election day close, Rinna’s blunt take adds another layer to the tension around who gets a shot at city leadership—and how qualified voters think someone must be to handle it.
