Lindell names Phillip Parrish as Minnesota running mate

Lindell names – Mike Lindell, the MyPillow CEO and long-shot Republican candidate for Minnesota governor, announced Phillip Parrish as his lieutenant governor running mate, framing the ticket as a challenge to Gov. Tim Walz’s record on alleged election fraud and regulation. T

Mike Lindell didn’t wait for the Minnesota governor’s race to feel routine. On Monday, the MyPillow CEO announced Phillip Parish—an ex–U.S. Navy intelligence officer—as his lieutenant governor running mate, a move aimed at giving his late, long-shot campaign a fresh burst of momentum.

Lindell made the announcement the same day he declared the filing momentum publicly. tweeting “Just Officially Filed!” and saying. “The two best gubernatorial candidates are joining forces!. I’m honored to officially announce @PhillipCParrish as my Lieutenant Governor in my campaign for Governor of Minnesota.”.

His campaign is still rooted in the themes he laid out when he launched in December. On Steve Bannon’s War Room. Lindell vowed to “stand for you against the rampant fraud under Governor [Tim] Walz” and to “stand for you against unnecessary regulation that strangle the entrepreneurial spirit. ” among other promises. He also campaigned on supporting people “struggling with addiction.”.

Parrish’s decision to join Lindell after ending his own bid for governor helped supply a contrast that Lindell’s campaign has leaned on: outsider branding paired with a national-security background. Parrish, a former intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy, had already decided not to pursue the top job himself.

The announcement lands after a bruising round of voting for the Minnesota Republican Party’s endorsement. Lindell finished a distant third with 22.1% of the vote. well behind Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth at 41.5% and Kendall Quall at 35.8%. Under the party’s rules. a candidate must receive at least 60% of the votes to earn the party’s official endorsement in Minnesota.

The endorsement picture is sharper on the Democratic side. Sen. Amy Klobuchar secured the endorsement of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party after earning 67% of the vote. She is seeking to maintain Democrats’ control of the governor’s mansion after Gov. Tim Walz withdrew from the race earlier this year.

For Lindell. Monday’s choice of Parrish reads like a bet that the campaign’s message—fraud claims and an argument against regulation—can still travel. even without the party nod that top contenders are chasing. For the rest of Minnesota’s political establishment. the filing and the ticket offer a reminder of how quickly a race can change tone when a candidate decides to consolidate their options on the ballot.

  1. I don’t even know who Phillip Parrish is but ex-Navy intelligence sounds like a random flex to me. Lindell really thinks this election fraud stuff is gonna win him Minnesota??

  2. replying to Darren—like didn’t Lindell already lose endorsement by not getting 60%? So it’s basically a “we’re doing our own thing” ticket. Also the article says “Parrish” but the tweet says “Parrish/Parrish”?? idk, names get messed up all the time.

  3. The filing momentum thing is giving me flashbacks to other candidates who announce stuff on Twitter and then disappear. If he’s tying it to “regulation strangles entrepreneurs” that sounds good until you remember… he’s Mike Lindell. And the addiction part felt kinda thrown in? not mad, just seems like a lot at once.
