LEGO’s Harry Potter ‘Back to Hogwarts’ week is magically here: Free gifts, new collector sets & more

It’s back and there’s even more magic! LEGO is holding its “Back to Hogwarts” celebration, and this time, it’s chock full of surprises for all Harry Potter fans.

LEGO’s “Back to Hogwarts 2026” promotion will run from Saturday, Aug. 28 to Sunday, Sept. 6, online and in stores.

New for 2026, the “Back to Hogwarts” week will feature new collector sets for LEGO builders, lots of free Harry Potter-inspired gifts and more magic. There are over 50 different Harry Potter LEGO sets to grab as well as themed merchandise — some of which are on sale.

New LEGO Harry Potter sets

For 2026, LEGO is introducing the new Harry Potter: The Ministry of Magic – Collectors’ Edition Set. This 3,491-piece collectible model features 14 minifigures, a three-story Ministry of Magic buildable model and magical functions to explore. It retails for $450.

To get first dibs on the new LEGO The Ministry of Magic – Collectors’ Edition Set, you’ll need to sign in to your LEGO Insider’s account from Aug 28-31. Don’t have an Insider account yet? You can sign up to become a LEGO Insider for free online instantly.

The LEGO The Ministry of Magic – Collectors’ Edition will be available to all LEGO shoppers on Sept. 1.

LEGO also introduced the new Harry Potter: Mini Hogwarts Castle Set. This 700-piece set retails for $40 and will be available on Aug. 29.

With the purchase of the LEGO Harry Potter: The Ministry of Magic Set, you’ll also get a free gift — the Ministry of Magic Phone Booth ($18 value). This metal display piece comes fully assembled in a presentation box, ready to add to your Harry Potter collection.
