For a moment, the plan looked like it was building in silence—until it spilled into leaked screenshots and court filings.
On June 16. the Department of Justice released photos connected to an alleged terror plot targeting President Donald Trump’s UFC fight at the White House. Federal authorities have charged at least five individuals in connection with what prosecutors describe as a mass casualty attack aimed at creating maximum chaos during the highly anticipated event.
The core of the case centers on an encrypted Signal chat. The FBI says it uncovered the alleged scheme after infiltrating that Signal group chat where participants were coordinating an attack involving drones. sniper teams. and targeted killings of high-profile government officials attending the event. The DOJ released multiple images from the investigation. including screenshots of a conversation in which participants shared maps and discussed the positioning of a “drone launch point” and a “snipers nest.”.
Tycen Proper, 19, of Knox County, Ohio, is one of the charged defendants. Court documents say Proper faces four federal charges. Investigators say his mother contacted law enforcement out of concern over his increasingly alarming behavior and online associations. Authorities also said Proper’s parents grew worried about his growing “ultra-religious and antigovernment sentiment.”.
Proper is charged with conspiracy to commit crimes against the U.S. attempted murder of an officer or employee of the United States. possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. and receipt or transfer of a firearm used to commit a felony. Prosecutors say two of the charges carry potential life sentences if he is convicted.
As the alleged plot took shape. prosecutors say Proper quit his job recently to prepare for “missions” and “recons.” Court documents add that he spent thousands of dollars from graduation money on guns. ammunition. magazines. and protective gear. The DOJ also released a photo of an American flag-emblazoned gun belonging to Proper.
Four other suspects were charged across multiple states, expanding the scope of the operation described in court filings. They are Daniel Eskridge. 32. of Missouri; Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez. 31. of Nebraska; Bryan Omar Roa. 24; and Michael Alan Thomas. 32. both of California. Federal authorities believe as many as 23 people might have been involved in the broader operation.
Among the materials released by the DOJ was a photo of tactical equipment tied to Eskridge. over which he allegedly added the message. “The 1st Amendment isn’t working.” The filing says what appeared to be the same tactical gear was pictured in a photo taken by the FBI during a June 13 search of Eskridge’s home.
Another image flagged by the DOJ was purportedly posted by Roa on his Instagram Story from Mexico. The message across the photo read, “Did sum tactical training, awesome stuff,” alongside an image of a man taking a knee while holding a gun.
Federal court documents allege the plot was designed to maximize chaos during the White House-hosted UFC fight. The plan reportedly involved staging unrest at the White House’s north gate to spark protests. The idea. prosecutors say. was then to launch explosive drones toward the South Lawn. where the octagon had been set up.
Authorities say the explosions were intended to push attendees southward—toward pre-positioned sniper teams tasked with targeting “HVTs,” which Proper allegedly described as high-value targets. Those targets include Trump administration officials and wealthy attendees.
Investigators also say Proper considered targeting Senator Marsha Blackburn, noting on his phone that “she’s taken money from the Israel pro-Israel lobby.”
The event drew roughly 4,300 attendees, including Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance.
At the G7 Summit in France, Trump said he had not been told about the plot.

How do they even get Signal screenshots if it’s encrypted??
So they say this UFC fight at the White House had drones and snipers… but why are they showing maps like it’s some PowerPoint? Seems like way too much info being released.
I saw “Signal chat” and immediately thought it was like group chat stuff, like someone just got hacked or something. But then it’s like planned targeted killings??? Also Tycen Proper being 19 and “ultra-religious” and antigovernment… doesn’t that mean the whole religion thing is being blamed? idk it just feels weird.
Man, I don’t trust any of this. First they say they infiltrated Signal, then they say there are leaked screenshots, then DOJ photos… like which one is real? And it’s specifically at the Trump UFC fight, so of course people are gonna assume it’s political no matter what. Either way, the “drone launch point” and “snipers nest” wording sounds made up, like something from a video game.
