Lauren Boebert’s Son Arrested on Charges Related to Sexual Exploitation of a Child

MAGA Rep. Lauren Boebert’s (R-CO) son, Tyler Boebert, was arrested on charges related to the sexual exploitation of a child, reported The Denver Gazette on Monday.
The report, based on court records, noted that the arrest took place last week by the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office. Garfield County includes Boebert’s hometown of Rifle, which is in Colorado’s third district. After almost losing her reelection bid in 2022, Boebert switched districts to a more heavily Republican-leaning district in order to ensure her stay in Congress in 2024 and beyond.
“Tyler Boebert, 21, faces five counts in total: three charges of sexual exploitation of a child and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. All of the charges are felonies and are alleged to have happened in 2024,” added the Gazette.
Tyler Boebert has faced legal trouble before and was arrested in 2024 on charges related to several thefts he was allegedly involved in. Tyler Boebert is set to appear in court on August 19th and is currently free on a $10,000 bail.
“I love my son. We take these allegations very seriously and pray for everyone affected during this challenging time,” Boebert said in a statement to the paper.
Boebert herself has been at the center of several scandals since entering Congress.
In September of 2023, Boebert apologized after she was removed from a Denver theater’s showing of “Beetlejuice” for causing a “disturbance.” Later footage from the incident showed Boebert and her date appearing to grope one another and Boebert dressing down staff members in the theater.
She has also publicly tussled with several of her fellow Republicans, including ex-Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), while embracing conspiracy theories like election denialism and questioning if the moon landing was real.
