Las Vegas to celebrate America’s birthday with largest fireworks

Las Vegas plans an eight-minute, music-synchronized fireworks show every Saturday from June 6 to July 25 for America’s 250th birthday.
Las Vegas is gearing up to mark America’s 250th birthday with a summer-long fireworks series aimed at turning the Strip and downtown into a weekly celebration.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority announced that the city will host what it calls the nation’s largest fireworks display in honor of the milestone anniversary.. The shows are set to begin at 9 p.m.. from multiple launch points along the Strip and in downtown, running every Saturday from June 6 through July 25.
At the center of the plan is a weekly, synchronized presentation designed to last eight minutes.. The authority described the overall scale and scope of the programming as what would make it the largest summer fireworks show in the nation. a pitch that reflects how strongly Las Vegas has positioned itself around large-scale visitor events.
The schedule is also tied to the way the city wants visitors to experience the holiday season.. Steve Hill. president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. said the celebrations will reach “new heights. ” pointing to a series of events that—on top of fireworks—are meant to match what travelers expect from Las Vegas during peak summer.
The fireworks celebration, known as the America250 Fireworks Celebration, is described as being designed and produced by Fireworks by Grucci. It is being created in partnership with Visit Las Vegas and Las Vegas Events, with the production built around synchronization to music.
Each Saturday night show will be broadcast in tandem with radio stations on Lotus Broadcasting, including KOMP 92.3 FM, 97.1 FM The Point, and 98.9 HANK FM. That pairing is intended to shape the viewing experience, letting audiences time what they see with what they hear.
The announcement also laid out where the fireworks will launch on each date. On June 6, the displays will be launched from Caesars Palace, Treasure Island and The Venetian Resort.
A week later, June 13, launch points will include MGM Grand, ARIA Resort & Casino and Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. On June 20, the lineup expands to The Plaza Hotel & Casino, Binion’s Gambling Hall and the Fremont Street Experience parking garages.
The following Saturdays bring additional locations across the city’s major corridors. On June 27, the launch sites will include Resorts World Las Vegas, Fontainebleau Las Vegas and The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower.
On July 4, Las Vegas will stage a special-sized synchronized display launched from nine rooftops across The Strip, positioning Independence Day weekend as a standout moment within the broader anniversary run.
The July schedule continues with more citywide coverage: July 11 returns to MGM Grand, ARIA Resort & Casino and Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. July 18 will feature launches from Resorts World Las Vegas, Fontainebleau Las Vegas and The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower.
The series will culminate on July 25 with fireworks returning to Caesars Palace, Treasure Island and The Venetian Resort, closing the weekly run as the city moves from the birthday anniversary into the later summer period.
Beyond the fireworks themselves, the release said complementary programming will appear on the Exosphere. That adds another layer to how the city plans to extend the celebrations beyond a single event window.
The broader message behind the week-by-week schedule is that Las Vegas intends to keep the focus on national history while making it practical for visitors.. With eight consecutive Saturdays of shows at the same start time. the plan aims to create predictable holiday programming that can fit into travel plans—especially during a time when the city already draws large numbers of summer visitors.
At the same time. staging synchronized fireworks across different resorts and downtown launch points reinforces the idea that the celebration is meant to be seen from multiple vantage points. not just a single viewing area.. The rotation of locations could also help distribute foot traffic and viewing demand across the Strip and downtown. aligning with how mega-events are commonly managed in a high-traffic environment.
For visitors. the combination of radio-synced music and clearly listed launch sites may be part of what makes the plan shareable online and easier to coordinate in groups.. And for locals and tourists alike. the weekly eight-minute shows provide a rhythm to the summer calendar that ties a major national milestone to the city’s signature entertainment style.
Meanwhile, Las Vegas continues to highlight its cultural legacy alongside big events— including the ongoing presence of Liberace’s Las Vegas legacy through a collection of costumes and pianos, which the announcement notes as another element of what visitors can experience while they’re in town.
