NFL rookies that could pop off in Week 1

- Cincinnati Bengals rookie Landon Robinson arrived at his NFL debut in his Navy Service Dress Blue uniform.
- Robinson, a U.S. Naval Academy graduate, was a seventh-round draft pick who made the team’s 53-man roster.

Landon Robinson showed up to his NFL debut making a statement.
A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Robinson was a seventh-round draft (226th overall) pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in April. He stuck with the team throughout training camp and impressed enough during the preseason to make the team’s initial 53-man roster as depth along the defensive line.
Robinson, 23, arrived to Paycor Stadium for his team’s Week 1 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Marine Dress Blues, which featured a blue jacket, white pants and a white captain’s hat.
During the preseason, Robinson had 2.5 sacks and 6 quarterback hits.
“I’m super excited to get started,” Robinson told the Akron Beacon Journal. “I think it’s the beginning of a long, long career, and I’m just excited to learn and grow. Obviously, you want to get out there as soon as you can, and you’re eager to go make plays, but it takes time in reality, especially as a younger player. You’ve got to learn and you’ve got to grow because it’s a big jump from college to the NFL. So, I’m excited to learn. I’m excited to grow.”
In April, Robinson launched a mental health advocacy foundation in his name to prevent youth suicide.
