Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre Premiere DC’s ‘Lanterns’ Series in Los Angeles

Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre hit the red carpet for the premiere of DC Studios’ highly anticipated series Lanterns, the upcoming Green Lantern series set in the DC Universe.
The co-stars were seen posing for photos together at the event, which was held on Thursday evening (August 13) at Paramount Theater in Los Angeles.
What is Lanterns about?
The series follows new recruit John Stewart (Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery with cosmic ties as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.
Also starring in the new DCU series and in attendance at the premiere were Kelly Macdonald, Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, Jason Ritter (with wife Melanie Lynskey), Ulrich Thomsen, Nathan Fillion, J. Alphonse Nicholson, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Cary Christopher, Shea Pritchard, Paul Ben-Victor, and Billy Griffin.

When does Lanterns premiere?
The eight-episode season of Lanterns is set to premiere Sunday, August 16th at 9 pm ET/PT on HBO and streaming on HBO Max.
Just a couple of weeks ago, Kyle, Aaron, and more hit up the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con for a panel to promote their new series.
