In Concord, North Carolina, NASCAR driver Kyle Busch spent the afternoon in distress—short of breath, feeling very hot, and coughing up blood—according to a 911 call obtained by MISRYOUM USA News.
Busch died Thursday at age 41. No cause of death has been given. His family previously said he had been hospitalized with a “severe illness” three days before he was scheduled to compete in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The 911 call was placed late that afternoon from the General Motors training facility. In the audio. an unidentified caller described a calm. urgent scene to dispatch. saying: “I’ve got an individual that’s (got) shortness of breath. very hot. thinks he’s going to pass out. and is producing a little bit of blood. coughing up some blood.”.
Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office audio also says Busch was lying on the bathroom floor inside the complex and that the caller told dispatch, “He is awake.” The man then directed where emergency responders should go and asked that they turn off any sirens upon arrival.
That same day. Busch was testing in the Chevrolet racing simulator in Concord when he became unresponsive. according to several people familiar with the situation who spoke on condition of anonymity because details have not been disclosed by Busch’s team or family. He was transported to a hospital in Charlotte.
The news of Busch’s death sent shockwaves through NASCAR, reaching even the national political scene. Usha and I are praying for him and his family. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.”.

Christopher Bell—one of the drivers planning to compete in the NASCAR Trucks Series race on Friday night. a race Busch had been scheduled to enter—said it would take time for the sport to feel whole again. Bell called Busch’s death a “gutwrenching feeling. ” adding that he spoke with Busch before the last Trucks Series race and that Busch seemed “normal. like completely normal.”.
Bell later put it more simply: “It’s going to be very strange to be out there without Kyle in the field. ” he said. “It’s going to take a long time before things feel back to normal.” He added. “I guess it is a very stark reminder of how fragile life can be. ” underscoring the sharp contrast between the routine of racing schedules and the suddenness of a human body failing.
Busch’s last win came last week in the NASCAR Trucks Series race at Dover, described as the final win of his career. It brought his total to 134 victories across NASCAR’s three national series, the most of any driver. He finished 17th in the All-Star race on Sunday.

Coughing up blood?? Like… what even happened to him.
So they knew he was overheated and about to pass out, and still no cause of death? That feels weird. Also why is it from a GM training place like was he working or something.
Wait I thought NASCAR guys are in cars all day, so maybe it’s like heat exhaustion from simulator? But then blood coughing like from choking?? I’m confused. Either way, turning off sirens is kinda strange to me.
This is one of those stories where everyone starts saying conspiracy stuff. Overheating, blood, then simulator unresponsive… sounds like a heart thing but then they won’t say cause yet. Also I saw something about him being hospitalized 3 days prior, so maybe it’s connected, idk.
