Knicks stun – Down 29 and staring at a bleak first half, the New York Knicks stormed back at Madison Square Garden to beat the San Antonio Spurs 107-106 in Game 4 and take a 3-1 series lead. The turnaround was sparked by a dominant third-quarter push and a fourth quarter th

Nobody believed it—and Madison Square Garden felt it.

When the Spurs opened with relentless pressure, the Knicks didn’t just fall behind. They were broken in the first quarter, outscored 41-22 as MSG fell into an eerie hush. By halftime, the scoreboard had become its own verdict: Spurs 76, Knicks 49. Victor Wembanyama had been the force at the center of the collapse. pouring in 16 points in the first half with a kind of authority that made a comeback feel like a fantasy.

Then the game turned, quarter by quarter, until the miracle stopped sounding like a slogan and started sounding like something real.

New York cut its deficit in the third quarter, outscoring San Antonio 26-14 to pull within 15. The spark came from Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby, who finally found their rhythm and gave the crowd something to hold onto.

The fourth quarter was different from anything this building had witnessed in a generation. The Knicks arrived with desperation and the Garden answered with volume. Every basket was met with a roar that seemed to shake the rafters. Every defensive stop sent 19,812 fans into delirium. Slowly, painfully, the gap narrowed—until New York regained the lead and the arena lost its mind.

Brunson was at the center of it all, driving the swing that turned the comeback into a finish. Anunoby was there beside him, magnificent when it mattered most, and when the moment finally demanded a statement, he delivered—rising above the crowd for the game-winning tip shot against the Spurs.

The final score told the story cleanly: New York Knicks 107, San Antonio Spurs 106. The win handed the Knicks a 3-1 series lead.

Courtside, Taylor Swift’s reaction mirrored the shock inside the building. She was seen on her feet with her arms raised, screaming and hugging strangers. She was later spotted in the backrooms of MSG leading the celebrations with fellow Knicks fans.

Swift was taking in the action from courtside, but she was without fiancé Travis Kelce. He wasn’t in New York because he was on a mandatory three-day minicamp with the Kansas City Chiefs as preparation for the 2026 NFL season. Instead. Swift had a girls’ night at the Garden while the Knicks avoided a second straight playoff defeat and moved to within one win of the NBA Championship.

The chaos wasn’t limited to the music world. Timothee Chalamet appeared stunned in the way someone looks after seeing a miracle happen right in front of them. Adam Sandler was equally blown away.

There was one notable absentee on Wednesday night, however: Donald Trump. His presence had been greeted at Game 3 with a thunderous chorus of boos, and he left after watching New York lose. This time, he was nowhere to be seen.

The numbers were impossible to ignore: New York’s record with Trump in the building stood at zero wins, and without him it was unbeaten. Make of that what you will.

In the end, this wasn’t just a comeback. It was New York history—something that will be talked about long after the final buzzer, replayed on highlight reels until the end of time, and remembered by everyone who was lucky enough to be inside Madison Square Garden on the night it happened.

  1. I didn’t watch but isn’t Wembanyama supposed to dominate? Like he had points early and then just… didn’t? Knicks fans must be loud in the best way

  2. So they won because the Spurs “pressure” stopped?? Sounds like Spurs just got tired in the 3rd. Also 41-22 in the 1st is wild, I’m guessing Knicks made some lucky threes and then defense figured it out? Not sure

  3. Madison Square Garden being “eerie hush” then suddenly going nuts… yeah that’s basically basketball magic. But 29-point comeback in Game 4??? I feel like the article leaves out what the refs did or something because that kind of swing doesn’t happen for “rhythm” only. Brunson was doing everything like always though, so I guess
