Expert Darren Stanton highlighted how at ease Charles and Macron seem to be with each other.

“With what we have seen of Charles and Macron, it appears to be a genuine bromance,” the specialist pointed out while speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino.

“Even though they’re in this social situation, they’ve got this really obvious rapport,” he continued. “It’s almost like two old friends. They’re having a great time, and there’s a real sense of friendship between them.”

Although Queen Camilla was by His Majesty’s side for the event, she appeared to sit back and let Charles take advantage of his time with the French president.

“King Charles is incredibly interactive with Macron. He’s really engaged with him,” Stanton noted.

“Even though he’s got Camilla there and even though he’s in this social situation, he just gives Macron his undivided attention. Camilla is an expert in these situations and really takes a step back, allowing Charles to build on that connection,” he said.

Despite being in the middle of a formal engagement, the duo seemed to be having a great time and getting a kick out of one another.

“There are shots of Macron where he is crying with laughter,” the commentator explained.

“He’s got his eyes closed, he’s dipping his head forward. It is a proper fit of laughter,” Stanton noted. “So whatever Charles has said, it’s not just a social laugh or a social smile. He’s genuinely got Macron on the verge of crying with laughter.”

Stanton also emphasized how Charles and Macron seem to be completely in step with one another.

“It’s very symmetrical. Whatever gestures of friendship one is giving, the other reciprocates,” he said.

“It’s a two-way friendship, a two-way street. Both men are equally engaged,” Stanton added.
