  1. Wait, Canada Day is July 1 but the article says May 25 council meeting… did they already do the closure or is it just “in the works”? Also the FIFA World Cup theme sounds kinda random for Canada Day but I guess kids like soccer.

  2. They should’ve spent that $22,000 on potholes or something instead of the water center grant. Like why are we always “future” this and “regional” that? Burgers and Brews sounds cool though but doesn’t fix anything.

  3. I heard they’re doing a FIFA theme and an inflatable “sports coliseum” and I’m like… is this even for Canada Day or is it just a soccer fundraiser? If it’s blocking Pioneer Avenue then people should get free parking or at least a heads up, my cousin already got towed once at another event. Also Agassiz Minor Soccer with 156 participants is a lot, so hopefully they’re ready for traffic.
