KC Concepcion signs fully guaranteed $20M Browns rookie deal

The Cleveland Browns officially signed rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion to a four-year, fully guaranteed $20 million contract after drafting him with the No. 24 overall pick and pairing him with Denzel Boston at No. 39.
Cleveland’s offseason hasn’t felt like a complete fix yet, not with the Browns still needing major improvements before they can seriously chase a playoff spot—and the kind of title run that demands everything to click.
But one moment in the NFL Draft cycle landed with real weight: the team went after the receiver position early, and now KC Concepcion has a contract that makes it hard to pretend this was anything less than a major investment.
The Browns selected Texas A&M wideout KC Concepcion with the No. 24 overall pick, then added Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston at No. 39 overall. Now Concepcion has officially signed his rookie deal: a four-year agreement worth $20 million that is fully guaranteed.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported the $20 million fully guaranteed structure. and the move fits a pattern Cleveland has leaned on before. The Browns have also handed quarterback Deshaun Watson a fully guaranteed deal—though for far more money—and Watson is still playing on that contract despite not meeting expectations and suffering serious injuries. Against that backdrop, the selection of Concepcion reads like a deliberate attempt to change the atmosphere around the quarterback position.
Concepcion’s game is built for that kind of opportunity. His skill set is described as versatile and explosive, and his impact in college at Texas A&M wasn’t limited to offense. He also showed value on special teams as a return specialist.
Offensively, the Browns see another lever they can pull right away. Concepcion is credited with elite speed—something that could help him take underneath passes and turn them into gains. or beat cornerbacks deep over the top down the field. That versatility matters even more with Todd Monken now in charge as head coach. because he’ll have ways to get Concepcion involved immediately in his first year.
By the time training camp rolls around, the Browns’ attention will inevitably drift back to the quarterback battle. Watson and Shedeur Sanders are set to battle it out for the starting spot during minicamp, and that competition is expected to carry into training camp and the preseason.
No matter which quarterback ends up on the field first, the message from Cleveland’s offseason is clear: whoever starts this fall should have a better situation around him than there was in 2025. Concepcion’s addition on the outside is a big part of why.

20 million fully guaranteed?? Browns really just lighting money on fire again lol.
Fully guaranteed deal for a rookie WR and they still can’t win. Watson better get his head straight because this sounds like they’re trying to fix it with speed.
Wait so KC Concepcion is with the Browns but also Denzel Boston??? I’m confused, sounds like they just took the two names and called it a WR room. If they’re already picking up returns and deep balls, why is the QB still the problem…
I don’t trust Cleveland with fully guaranteed money, like they did with Watson (or whatever) and then injuries happened. Also Shedeur Sanders being in the QB battle already makes me think they want to trade somebody. Concepcion might be fast but if the line is trash none of it matters, just saying.
