Prince William, Princess Kate celebrate Tom Cruise’s ‘Digger’ premiere
Prince William and Princess Kate celebrate the premiere of Tom Cruise’s new film “Digger” in London.
Princess Kate is revealing what “always” makes her nervous.
The future queen held a tea party at Windsor Castle earlier for participants of the Three Peaks Challenge. Kate completed the grueling hike in June, scaling the three highest peaks in Britain in 24 hours to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Among those invited to the Sept. 15 event was Pete Haslam, who “bumped into” Kate as he made his way down Scotland’s Ben Nevis mountain along with a group who were carrying his paraplegic son Ted in his wheelchair. The 11-year-old was diagnosed with an aggressive spinal tumor at the age of three and is paralyzed from the waist down.
Reunited back in Windsor, in far more luxurious conditions, Kate spent around 20 minutes catching up with the Haslam family.
“She told Ted that she saw us both on TV and asked if he got nervous,” Haslam tells USA TODAY in an interview Sept. 25. Kate then admitted to the family, “I always get nervous when I go on TV.”
Haslam and a group of 17 people completed the challenge in under 30 hours in June, pushing and pulling Ted in his wheelchair as they scaled the mountains. Haslam said the tea party was “a lovely experience” and that the family was even given a private tour of the historic castle after they had finished devouring the royal sweet treats.
“It was a pleasure to welcome other Three Peaks Challenge participants and their families to Windsor Castle,” Kate wrote in an Instagram post Sept. 25. “Behind every summit was a personal story of resilience, determination and hope.”
The mother-of-three shared several images from the event including one of her speaking to Ted. She wore a long plum dress for the event, teamed with dark heels.

Taking to Instagram after completing the challenge, Kate said the quest was “a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back.”
Kate was supported by Prince William and their children – George, Charlotte and Louis – as well as her parents and brother, James Middleton.

Married to the future king, Kate is no stranger to the limelight. Just days ago stepped out with Prince William for the “Digger” movie premiere in London. The event was Kate’s first film premiere in more than four years, following her 2024 cancer diagnosis.
The princess underwent a course of preventative chemotherapy after having abdominal surgery. Her treatment ended months later, and in January 2025, she revealed her cancer is in remission.
