Kate Mansi has exited “General Hospital” as Kristina Corinthos-Davis after choosing not to renew her contract, with her final status still unclear. Her departure comes shortly after she celebrated the May 1 theater premiere of “Casa Grande.”

When Kate Mansi walked away from her role as Kristina Corinthos-Davis, it didn’t happen in a dramatic cliffhanger. It happened quietly—after three years at ABC’s “General Hospital,” and after she made a decision not to renew her contract.

On the third anniversary of making her on-screen debut as Kristina Corinthos-Davis on “General Hospital. ” Soap Opera Network has learned exclusively that the actress has exited the daytime drama series. The shift was tied to a contract choice: Mansi opted not to renew. and she has already finished taping at the show’s Prospect Studios-based set in Hollywood.

As of press time, a final air date for Mansi was unknown. It also wasn’t clear whether the show plans to recast Kristina.

The Kristina storyline will now carry the weight of a role that has changed hands more than once. Before Mansi joined “General Hospital. ” she was best known to soap fans for portraying Abigail Deveraux DiMera on “Days of our Lives. ” a role that earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Daytime Drama Series.

Her exit arrives during a busy stretch in her career. Earlier this month. Mansi marked the premiere of her latest film. “Casa Grande. ” a continuation of the 2023 limited series that hit theaters on May 1. The film also stars Lou Diamond Phillips. Christina Moore (“Jessie”). Madison Lawlor. and Lauren Swickard. the real-life wife of Mansi’s now former “General Hospital” co-star. Josh Swickard (Harrison Chase). among others.

On Instagram. See you next yr!”.

Kristina’s on-screen history extends further back than Mansi’s three-year run. Before her casting, the role was portrayed by Lexi Ainsworth, whose last appearance came just weeks before Mansi’s debut. Ainsworth won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Daytime Drama Series for her portrayal of Kristina in 2017—the same year Mansi won her Emmy for “Days of our Lives.”.

Lindsey Morgan also played Kristina, taking over the role from Ainsworth in 2012 after the character was sent off to Yale University in October 2011. In total, Ainsworth played Kristina from 2009–2011 and later again from 2015–2023.

Mansi’s most recent Instagram post points to a change that fans can see immediately, highlighting “lots of new,” including a new look for the actress.

For now, “General Hospital” has one unmistakable fact in the foreground: Kristina Corinthos-Davis is losing her current face, with the show’s next move—air date and whether the role will be recast—still waiting in the wings.

  1. Not renewing contract doesn’t mean anything to me. Soap actors leave all the time. I’m more worried they’ll recast Kristina like they did before.

  2. I think she left because the show “changed” the storyline? Like they stopped giving her good stuff. Also, Casa Grande premiering sounds like she’s moving on to movies for sure. But why would her final air date be unknown—like is she just gone??

  3. This is kinda confusing. It says she finished taping but the final air date is unknown, so are they just gonna leave Kristina in limbo? Also her leaving right after the theater premiere… that seems suspiciously timed, unless they wanted to match it with the movie release or something. I saw her on Days of our Lives years ago, so I’m kinda sad, but I guess contracts are contracts.
