Jonah Hills says he’s ready to ‘annihilate’ anyone who still thinks of him as the ‘fat guy from Superbad’

Jonah Hill says his new-found love of Brazilian jiu-jitsu means he is ready to ‘annihilate’ anyone who calls him the ‘fat guy from Superbad’.
It’s been almost 20 years since Superbad hit cinemas and helped catapult stars Hill and Michael Cera to super stardom.
However, despite it being a couple of decades on from its release it turns out there are still plenty of folks out there who think of Hill as the awkward teenager Seth.
And the actor has some pretty strong words for those people.
During an appearance on the SmartLess podcast earlier this year, Hill told hosts Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes that he had got into Brazilian jiu-jitsu in a big way and that it made him feel ready to take on just about anybody.

“I love Brazilian jiu-jitsu, except my body is begging me not to love it,” he said.
In fact, he said he enjoyed it so much that his wife had to remind him that it wasn’t about to be a new career path for him.
Hill said: “My wife is often like, ‘You’re not going to become a professional fighter. You know that, right? You’re a comedian’.”
Bateman then jumped in asking the all important question of who would win they ‘got into it’, prompting the 42-year-old to fire back: “I would f**k you up. I would f**k all three of you up.”
He went on to say that was the ‘best part’ of his sporty hobby.
“My favourite thing is people are, like, ‘Oh Jonah Hill, f**king fat guy from Superbad’.
“And I’m like, ‘I would f**king annihilate you, dude.’”
As the three hosts burst out laughing, Hill continued: “I am not kidding, dude. Try it. If you see me, try it.
“Unless you are way bigger than me… f**k around and find out.”
Hill has gone through a number of transformations during his time in the public eye and has been open about how comments surrounding his weight and appearance affected him when he was younger.

In a 2018 appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show, he spoke about his fluctuating weight, saying: “I became famous in my late teens and then spent most of my young adult life listening to people say that I was fat and gross and unattractive.
“It took a long time ― honestly, until right now ― for me to come out as the person, artist, mind, what I represent, how I feel, how I’d like to be spoken to, how I speak to the world.
“I think everybody has a version of themselves ― I call it a snapshot ― at some point in [their] life of the person [they’re] trying to hide from the world.
“Even if you get success or grow up or become good-looking or whatever … you kind of carry some part of that with you.
“For me, it’s definitely being like this 14-year-old kid, being overweight, wanting to fit in with these skaters and hip-hop kids, and just feeling lonely and maybe not understanding my own worth.”
Earlier this year, he shocked fans by looking completely unrecognisable with a shaved head and beard for his role in Apple Movie’s Outcome, which also stars Keanu Reeves and Cameron Diaz.
