Joey King attended the USA vs. Turkey World Cup match at SoFi Stadium on Thursday, June 25, supporting both teams—Turkiye thanks to her brother-in-law Oz, and the USA as she watched from the Raising Cane’s suite with family and friends.
Joey King showed up to the World Cup with a plan that made perfect sense once you knew her family.
On Thursday, June 25, the Practical Magic 2 actress spent a lively night out at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, watching the USA vs. Turkey match from the Raising Cane’s suite. The 26-year-old was clearly in game mode, too—she wore a jersey to represent Turkey and a hat to represent the USA.
King didn’t come alone. She was joined by her husband, Cape Fear director Steven Piet, along with her sister, Kelli King, and her brother-in-law, Oz.
The reason she was repping both teams is personal. Oz is from Turkey, and that connection goes beyond sports. Back in September 2024, Joey traveled to Istanbul for Kelli and Oz’s wedding.
At the time, she shared a heartfelt post about the celebration. “I love Türkiye. The most stunning Kina Geces?. last night celebrating my sister @kelliisking and my brother in law @moyk9. the most moving joining of families!!!. I couldn’t stop crying thank you to our new family for being the best hosts,” she wrote.
When the match kicked off, Turkey ultimately came out on top, defeating USA 3-2.
The suite night didn’t just belong to King. Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves hosted a party at Lumiere Brasserie Restaurant ahead of the game. and plenty of stars turned up for the event. Camila Mendes and Rudy Mancuso were there, along with Barbara Palvin. The guest list also included Dave Franco and Alison Brie. Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade. Shanina Shaik. Dixie D’Amelio.
