Joe Burrow backs Bengals Super Bowl push for 2026

Fresh off another offseason focused on fixing the defense, Joe Burrow says the Bengals have their most talented roster since he arrived—then predicts Cincinnati will “win a Super Bowl” in the 2026 season.
When Joe Burrow walked into his media session Tuesday, he didn’t sound like a quarterback talking cautiously about “turning the corner.” He sounded like a leader already aiming at the finish line.
Cincinnati entered this offseason coming off missing the playoffs in each of the last three years. The organization identified a need for major defensive improvements, then moved quickly and deliberately—spending the fourth-most cap space in the league to address those issues.
Burrow praised the work, pointing to a collection of additions he says gives the Bengals the right pieces. In a trade, Cincinnati acquired Dexter Lawrence. The team also signed top free-agent safety Bryan Cook, and added pass rushers Boye Mafe and Jonathan Allen. Burrow said the moves were ones he reportedly approved of, and his confidence was immediate.
“This is the most talented roster that we’ve had since I’ve been here,” Burrow said Tuesday. “We’ve got everything we need in that locker room, we just got to go make it happen.”
Then came the prediction that pushed the conversation beyond roster evaluation. Burrow said the Bengals will be defined by winning, and he was explicit about the goal.
“I think the number one thing is you have to go win, and we’re going to go win a lot of games this year and play great and win a Super Bowl,” Burrow said. “Everything that comes with that comes with that part of it too, including playing internationally.”
Even with that belief ringing clearly, the offseason mattered for reasons that reached beyond football—especially late in last season. Concern had grown about Burrow’s desire to remain in Cincinnati after the Bengals selected him with the No. 1 overall pick in 2020. For the front office. the stretch that followed became critical: deliver a roster that fits the moment. while keeping the franchise’s most important player aligned with where the team is headed.
Burrow’s comments put the focus back on the obvious requirement after the spending and the transactions are done. More talented rosters don’t build wins by themselves. The reality. as Burrow effectively framed it. is that it now comes down to the players and coaches translating that talent into results on the field each week.

Let’s go. Burrow said it so it’ll happen right?
International games?? So like… theyre gonna play the Super Bowl overseas or what. I don’t even get why that’s a thing. Defense still has to stop people though.
Dexter Lawrence plus Jonathan Allen already sounds like the same guy twice lol. But seriously, they lost three years in a row and now suddenly “everything we need”? I hope they dont jinx it by talking too early.
I saw somewhere Bengals bought like the whole defense in one offseason. If they spent 4th most cap space, that means it’s basically guaranteed, right? Also Bryan Cook name sounds familiar like he was on a different team and got re-signed, so idk.
