Jodie Turner-Smith Sued Over Brother’s Alleged Sexual Misconduct, Rep Calls Claims ‘Fictional’ | Just Jared

Jodie Turner-Smith has been named in a lawsuit involving her brother, Richard Smith, who is being sued by three Jane Does over accusations of sexual misconduct and drug dealing.

The three women filed their lawsuit with the Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday (September 24) and named Jodie in the suit, alleging she enabled his behavior.

A representative for Jodie slammed the lawsuit as “fictional” in a statement shared with People.

“The claims are not true. This is an abuse of the legal system, allowing someone to make up facts and file meritless legal document,” the statement said.

According to the filing viewed by People, the women are accusing Jodie of providing Richard with housing and other resources that allowed him to continue his lifestyle. They also allege she purchased him an Audi that he used to transport drugs.

They allege that the Tron: Ares star “knew of significant dangers” associated with her brother and, despite that, “continued to provide or make available resources that enabled Smith to maintain housing, transportation, and a lifestyle in which the alleged conduct continued.”

The plaintiffs have requested a jury trial and are seeking compensatory and punitive damages, along with attorneys’ fees, injunctive relief, and other remedies.
