Jimmy Kimmel Offers Spencer Pratt U-Haul After Election

After Spencer Pratt’s mayoral run ended following the primary results, Jimmy Kimmel offered him a U-Haul and promised to drop it off in front of the Bel-Air hotel—mocking the vow Pratt made to leave Los Angeles if he lost.
Jimmy Kimmel didn’t wait long after Spencer Pratt’s mayoral bid ended—he turned it into a full-on packing plan.
On the Tuesday. June 9 broadcast of Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Kimmel. 58. said Pratt had promised that if Karen Bass or Nithya Raman were elected mayor. he would move out of Los Angeles. “He clearly promised that if Karen Bass or Nithya Raman were elected mayor. he’s going to move out of L.A. ” Kimmel said. “He said he was done with L.A. and Spencer. if you’re watching. we are so. so sorry to see you go.”.
Pratt, 42, had announced in January that he planned to run against incumbent Bass, 72, in the mayoral race. His campaign wrapped up earlier this week after Bass and Raman. 44. finished first and second. respectively. in the primary to secure positions in a runoff election this fall. Pratt has yet to address what Kimmel described as his political failing.
Kimmel’s tone sharpened when he returned to Pratt’s vow to leave Los Angeles if he lost. “We do know we’re going to miss the hell out of you,” Kimmel added. “You’re a man of your word and you’ve got to go. You said you were going to go and I know things might be tight right now. especially out-of-state donation money is running out.”.
Then came the offer: moving help. “Moving is expensive, so, to help you out, we rented you a U-Haul. It has plenty of room. It’s got two beds, tables, chairs, all your crystals, whatever you want. Our staff spent the whole day decorating for you.”
Kimmel also wished Pratt and his wife. Heidi Montag. “wherever it is that [they] go.” He speculated that wherever they land next. Pratt could aim higher politically—suggesting. “Maybe you could be mayor there. or maybe just run for mayor and finish in third place there.” The talk show host joked about what could come next for the reality TV angle. saying it “could be fun for your new reality show season 2.”.
“Either way, mazel tov and goodbye, Spencer Pratt. Let us know if you want [the U-Haul]. We’ll drop it off right in front of the Bel-Air hotel,” Kimmel said.
The backdrop for all of this is Pratt’s earlier comments about where he says he calls home. In April. Pratt revealed that he was staying at the Hotel Bel-Air with Montag. 39. and their family after their house was destroyed in the 2025 wildfires. In a cover story published last month. Pratt told Us Weekly. “I temporarily sleep in Santa Barbara when I’m with my family. Three nights is the most I’ve slept at a hotel. because obviously I have to go see my kids and my family.” He added. “My home is not Santa Barbara. my home is not the Hotel Bel-Air. My home is the Pacific Palisades.”.
At the time he made his departure pledge. Pratt insisted his plan wasn’t about losing—it was about saving the city. “I’m not doing this to lose, I’m doing this to win and save the city,” he stated. “My point [was], if I don’t win, L.A. is done, and it’s not going to be livable. It’s going to be out of a dystopian nightmare movie.”.
