Jimmy Kimmel is heading back to Brooklyn for special shows — guests to be announced
Jimmy Kimmel will bring his ABC talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! back to Brooklyn for another round of special shows.
It will be held at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House from Monday, September 28, through Friday, October 2, according to People.

The five-night run will take place in front of a live studio audience and mark his seventh time broadcasting from the borough.
Guest stars for the show are still under wraps and organizers will announce the lineup at a later date. For now, fans can go ahead and secure their tickets through the show’s Brooklyn website.
The return to New York City continues a tradition that has brought Kimmel some major names over the years. Past guests of his special shows included Jay-Z, John Krasinski, David Letterman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Howard Stern, Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan and Alicia Keys.
Last year’s Brooklyn shows featured Stephen Colbert, Emily Blunt and Tom Hanks among the guests. Moreover, the late-night show host has a personal connection with the place that he spoke about in 2025 during an interview with New York City Tourism + Conventions.
“In Brooklyn, you grow up — at least I did — all packed together,” he said. “You learn to interact with people. You know your neighbors. Most of the time, you know your neighbors too well.”
On September 8, Kimmel celebrated 4,000 episodes of his show and the milestone also arrived when he returned after a nearly three-month summer break.

Page Six reported on September 8 that the next season could be the final one for Jimmy Kimmel Live! A source claimed that Kimmel’s contract will not be extended, which means the show could conclude in May 2027 after 24 years on the air.
ABC Entertainment pushed back on the news and their representative said the information is “inaccurate” and the buzz around the show’s future is “purely speculative.”
Kimmel has also acknowledged that he thinks about leaving late-night television.
After The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was canceled, he told Vulture that he felt “a little bit defeated” by the decision.
“In a lot of ways, I feel like I’m looking at my own future,” Kimmel stated. He is also unsure whether he will renew his contract in May 2027 or retire. Plus, he wants “freedom” more than anything and would love to have time for pursuits such as fishing.
His longtime producer, Erin Irwin, told the outlet that the comedian has “been talking about leaving for a while.”
