Chick-fil-A may have repeated last year’s score, but Jersey Mike’s takes the top spot in the American Customer Satisfaction Index’s latest quick-service restaurant ranking for 2026—by a hair.
ORLANDO, Fla. — The change is small on paper and big in the mind of fast-food fans: Chick-fil-A is no longer Florida’s top fast food chain in the latest American Customer Satisfaction Index ranking.
The new report, issued last week, evaluates customer satisfaction across the quick-service restaurant industry, including major names like McDonald’s, Subway and Starbucks. Researchers determined the ranking by looking at which companies scored highest on customer satisfaction.
Chick-fil-A came in with the same ACSI result it posted last year, but Jersey Mike’s managed to finish just ahead in 2026, grabbing No. 1.
The ACSI report points to why Jersey Mike’s rose in the way it did. It says Jersey Mike’s ACSI success aligns with business performance. including rapid unit growth. strong customer demand. and a model built around throughput and off-premise convenience driven by high digital pickup usage. The report also describes the chain’s menu as fairly narrow. adding that the model is designed to be conducive to franchisee success.
That’s the moment where the numbers matter more than the brand loyalty. Chick-fil-A’s score didn’t slip. It simply wasn’t enough to hold the lead.
