Jerry O’Connell Confesses He Loves Rebecca Romijn’s Natural Smell

Jerry O’Connell got surprisingly candid on a podcast Monday, June 29, saying he actually likes wife Rebecca Romijn’s body odor—even after she uses “crystals” under her arms to prevent it.

Jerry O’Connell didn’t just say he’s comfortable with his wife’s natural scent—he sounded downright pleased by it.

On the “Thanks Dad With Ego Nwodim” podcast. released Monday. June 29. the actor joined Ego Nwodim. 38. for a conversation that started with antiperspirants and somehow drifted into a very specific confession about Rebecca Romijn. 53. O’Connell, 52, said he prefers spray deodorants over roll-ons. Then he addressed the smell question head-on.

“I have to tell you, my wife, Rebecca Romijn, rubs crystals under her arms. And I’m here to tell everyone it doesn’t work … the crystals under the arms doesn’t work.”

He followed that with a softer, more personal admission. “Now. I don’t mind the way my wife [smells] … it doesn’t offend me. ” O’Connell said. adding. “This is going to get a little dirty … I kind of like it when I can smell my wife’s body odor. It’s kind of like, yeah, she’s alive, we’re alive, we’re living.”.

O’Connell summed it up with a playful description: “It’s like a little kicking and, like, it’s a little funky town.”

For a couple that’s been married since 2007, the moment fits their style—messy truths, zero performance. O’Connell and Romijn share twin daughters, Charlie and Dolly, 17.

Romijn, of course, was previously married to Full House star John Stamos. They began dating in 1994 and tied the knot in 1998. Romijn and Stamos separated in April 2004, and their divorce was finalized a year later.

The relationship has kept moving in public over the years, including with O’Connell talking about Stamos in other interviews. In March. O’Connell appeared on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” and described meeting Stamos at a party. calling him “very sweet. ” “very nice. ” and “super” funny and charming. O’Connell also shared a conversation that came up earlier in June. when he appeared on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live on June 23.

There. O’Connell said he made a beeline for Stamos at the event—especially after Stamos didn’t tell him about Romijn’s relationship with him at the time. “John Stamos was at this party and I was like, ‘I got to make a beeline for him. I gotta just like, I got to go extend my hand,’” O’Connell explained. He said he approached Stamos while Stamos’s “beautiful new wife” was there, adding, “They have a kid. I put my hand out.”.

O’Connell then joked about the moment. including a comment about Romijn and the idea that people should feel included when he made self-deprecating jokes. He explained he made sure Stamos’s wife. Caitlin McHugh—whom Stamos shares son Billy. 8. with—was part of the interaction. and said he “whispered to him when I hugged him. ‘She says you’re bigger than me.’ … I whispered. ‘She says Greeks are better lovers.’”.

Back on the “Thanks Dad With Ego Nwodim” podcast. though. the biggest takeaway was simpler: O’Connell says the “crystals” Romijn uses under her arms don’t do what she thinks they do—and he doesn’t seem bothered by it at all. If anything. he made it sound like he reads that scent as proof they’re living the same real life. right next to each other.
