Jeffrey Epstein recruiter’s death reignites Mossad theory as ex-CIA specialist says there’s ‘little doubt’ he ran intelligence op

The death of one of Jeffrey Epstein‘s former associates has reignited speculation about the late predator’s ties to Israel, Wonderwall.com can report.

Daniel Siad — a Frenchman accused of recruiting young models for the disgraced financier — was found dead at his home outside Paris, prompting conspiracy theorists to revive unproven claims about Epstein’s alleged ties to Israel’s national intelligence agency, Mossad.

Siad, who was in his late 60s, was reportedly Epstein’s No. 2 modeling recruiter in Europe. When the U.S. Department of Justice released 3.5 million pages of Epstein files in late 2025 and early 2026, Siad’s name appeared nearly 2,000 times.

“An investigation to determine the cause of death was opened … following the discovery,” the prosecutor’s office said after Siad’s body was found inside his home in Colombes, France, on July 20.

Siad’s lawyer, Meyna Arab-Tigrine, said she believes he died from a heart attack but is awaiting the official report. An autopsy showed no signs of violence but toxicology and pathology tests to determine the cause of death are pending.

Siad is the second man with publicly reported ties to Epstein to die in France. Jean-Luc Brunel, a modeling agent who was linked to the financier, was found dead in his prison cell in 2022 after spending 14 months in pretrial detention. Brunel had denied sexual assault and harassment allegations.

Meanwhile, speculation continues to swirl. Epstein and longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell — who’s serving a 20-year prison sentence for trafficking — have long been accused of operating a blackmail scheme in which powerful men were secretly recorded during encounters with their alleged victims.

In the book Epstein: Dead Men Tell No Tales, author Dylan Howard — publisher of Mystify, Wonderwall.com‘s parent company — reported that Epstein was connected to the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad via his then-girlfriend, whose late father, British media mogul Robert Maxwell, has long been alleged to have had ties to Mossad.

Ari Ben-Menashe, a former Israeli spy and Robert’s alleged “handler,” said of Jeffrey in the book, “Maxwell introduced him to us, and he wanted us to accept him as part of our group.”

Ari alleged that after Jeffrey was brought into the fold, he and Robert were both working on behalf of Mossad. “They weren’t really competent to do very much,” Ari said. “And so they found a niche for themselves — blackmailing American and other political figures.”

‘They would just blackmail people’

Ari claimed Jeffrey’s value came from his access to powerful people.

“Mr. Epstein was the simple idiot who was going around providing girls to all kinds of politicians in the United States,” Ari continued. “And he was taking photos of politicians [in illegal situations] — if you want to get it straight.

“They would just blackmail people, they would just blackmail people like that,” he added.

Former CIA counter-terrorism specialist Philip Giraldi said he also has “little doubt” that Jeffrey was running an intelligence operation, and that his knowledge helped him escape justice.

“There is no other viable explanation for his filming of prominent politicians and celebrities…,” Philip wrote in a 2019 article published by the American Herald Tribune.

“Epstein clearly had contact with former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres and Ehud Barak, and [his friend and client LeslieWexner also had close ties to Israel and its government.”

Private investigator Jason Jensen speculated that Daniel could have represented a potential liability to an intelligence service. “We know how the Mossad and all those espionage agencies operate,” he said. “They protect themselves by silencing anybody who becomes a loose end, so Daniel Siad’s death doesn’t surprise me.”

There is no evidence that Mossad was involved in Daniel’s death.
