The Washington Commanders released renderings Wednesday of the seating bowl for its planned new home at the former RFK Stadium site in DC.
Tom Brady’s raw reaction to a gruesome elbow injury to Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was not safe for work.
During the Commanders’ Week 2 game against the Dallas Cowboys, cameras showed Daniels’ left elbow appear to bend the wrong way as he braced himself while falling. When the Fox broadcast aired a replay of a closer look at the injury, Brady let out a fleeting expletive on-air.
“Oh (expletive),” Brady said as he saw the replay.
The former quarterback and third-year broadcaster composed himself after the brief lapse and said, “Excuse me. I was not expecting to see that.”
Video of Brady’s slip-up includes visuals of Daniels’ gruesome injury. USA TODAY Sports advises discretion, as the video’s content may be sensitive for some viewers.
Brady sounded upset after describing the play as trainers surrounded Daniels on the field.
Jayden Daniels injury update
Daniels sustained a left (non-throwing) elbow injury just before halftime in the Commanders’ Week 2 clash with the Cowboys. The quarterback seemingly got his legs tangled with one of his offensive linemen and hurt himself when he tried to brace himself as he fell. Video replay of the injury showed his forearm appear to bend the wrong way.
Washington quickly ruled Daniels out for the remainder of the game after he was carted off of the field. Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota replaced Daniels.
Daniels’ elbow injury was similar to one he suffered last year. The former No. 2 overall pick dislocated his same left elbow in Week 9 of the 2025 season and missed three games. He re-injured his elbow in Week 14 – in his first game back from the initial dislocation – and missed the rest of the season.
