Jamie Vardy mulls surprise move to Brazil after receiving a ‘considerable’ offer from Sao Paulo – with West Ham also in talks with striker
Jamie Vardy has held talks with Brazilian side Sao Paulo.
Negotiations are in the early stages but it is understood to be a considerable offer from one of Brazil’s biggest clubs who have just come out of a transfer embargo.
The 39-year-old is considering the ambitious move despite initially planning a fairytale return to the Premier League.
The former England striker has also spoken to West Ham among others.
The ex-Leicester forward wants to take his time to make the right decision for his family as they felt they rushed into their move to Cremonese last year despite valuing the experience.
Vardy had an option to stay for another season with the Lombardy outfit had they remained in Serie A.

As a free agent he can join clubs outside of the transfer window but ideally wants to decide before then.
Vardy called time on his 13-season stint at the Foxes at the end of the 2024-25 season as the club’s greatest-ever player.
The former non-league star scored his 200th goal for Leicester in the dying stages of that campaign, after announcing his departure in April of last year.
The striker was instrumental to the club’s golden spell in the 2010s, winning the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the Championship twice.
